I lost my sister in law 2 months ago to fentanyl. She was 9 years sober. She got into a car accident and hurt her back. She didnt want to go to the hospital so she took what she thought was a 5 milligram pain pill. It ended up being fentanyl and she overdosed and died. Fentanyl is no joke. She lived in North Carolina. A long way from the border but it is available everywhere. Thanks for sharing . George is a true legend. Much love and respect from Baltimore as always.

Okay, here I go. I was charged with a sex offense against a child. However, my conviction was overturned by the appellate court because the evidence presented to the jury was demonstrably flawed and prejudiced. There was no physical or corroborating evidence. My conviction was base on nothing but hearsay. I lost my whole life over this. Did I do it, no. I spent years in prison for something I didn't do and was finally released. But, it still shows up in background checks. Slow your roll. Not everyone can be fit in the same bag just because they were charged. Sometimes people are wrongly charged.

My point was that there are times when a person is wrongfully charged and just because they were accused the stigma sticks. The phrase I have heard is "well,, they must have done something". That's the stigma I've faced even though my conviction was overturned and I even passed a lie detector. It's tough As I said, I apologize for coming across harsh, I love your channel, this subject touches a tender spot for me. Just for clarity, I have 4 kids ranging from 15 to 34 and 7 grandkids. And if anyone ever messed with any of them I can guarantee that the whole family would be there to seek vengeance.

Prologue - I write too much for some but I want to say what I'd say if we were hanging out and talking about life on the more serious side... the shit that matters. I believe it becomes hard wired at some point. No redos. 3) 'cohol - I had 3 redos in a year with one strap down (alcohol only, no violence) on a cold table in a dark room on the "bad side" of the ward where the air is palpable with eminent violence because I found my ex cheated on me 7 of 9 years and instead of putting her under I blacked out numb on alcohol... nothing like walking the hall between locked doors and counting the ceiling tiles to guestimate the # of ft the hallway length was to pass the time. 4) maniacs and crazy... eh. I know of a functional psychopath who is amazing at making coin without doing harm to others. mixed on this one. Those on the street that need help, need help... not to be pawn of a system that uses them for political devices.

However, there are reasons for the cash bail changes particularly how the system affected the poor, as well as the growing inflation which isn’t only affecting the United States, but is a worldwide issue. Both issues require real balance as solutions because cash bail can destroy innocent peoples lives as well. Also, I’m also not saying you aren’t patriotic. I’m sure you want the best for America. However it isn’t fair to spout simple talking points from the right to very complex issues. You can say you’re libertarian but your talking points are similar to Republican talking points. Again, I’m not saying you don’t have a reason to have your beliefs but these issues require greater nuance and understanding. While I somewhat agree with your views on indoctrination,it doesn’t just go one way. I’ll give you an anecdote. When I was in the third grade (public school in Chicago) I came home telling my father that abortion is bad. My father asked me if I knew what abortion was and I had no idea. My teacher was clearly a fundamentalist indoctrinating children with her views in the 3rd grade. Then I had a lot of amazing teachers who taught me to think differently and deeply about topics but also asked us to ask questions and think critically. Now critical thinking is a good thing but it did put me at odds with some of my parents views. However I still value my teachers for helping to think about how to think about issues, not what to think about issues. Anyway, I hope my comment wasn’t to abrasive. I’m surprised to get a comment from you but I really appreciate it either way. I know I unsubbed as a reaction, but I’m seeing that that wasn’t the best way to approach this. All people are capable of being reformed because they were programmed that way in the first place or had brain damage that, for all we know, may someday be possible to repair. Just make sure they stay locked up until they are reformed, that's all. As for people being reactive to images, thought crimes should never be a thing. Yes, it's not right that they have those thoughts, but it's also not right when ever one of us has the thought of killing someone, but the difference should always be on whether or not the person is likely to act on the thought. Actions should be judged and criminalized, never thoughts. We definitely need to reform the prison system. It's not about rehabilitating people, even though it's in their names quite often. They mostly exist to punish people, not help them. I'm in favor of making prison a place to separate criminals from society while they are being helped to not be criminals anymore, not a place to punish. We know better about how people's brains work now. He honestly wouldn't be rolling in his grave because men getting pregnant was possible in his time, too. They are transgender people, and they existed back then. I think he'd be more rolling in his grave about how many words you can't say on KZbin, or about cancel culture, or even donald duck becoming president.
