Guy Sebastian is an Australian singer/songwriter and also a Judge on The Voice Australia. He writes about real life and personal experiences. He has had some success in the USA with "Battle Scars" which he had Lupe Fiasco write a rap to it. they appeared on Letterman, Jimmy Fallen and Conan...Lupe received his first number 1 hit with it both Gold and Platinum records. Guy performed it during our Covid lockdown from his home studio...where he sings both parts and it went viral. Worth a look. Thanks for reacting to Guy Sebastian for us Aussies....much love from the Great Southern Land

That was just about the sweetest thing I have seen in a long time. I never heard of Guy Sebastian, but he has a fantastic voice. And it was just great of him to make this special stop, and make all of the kids so happy. Kathy, I am loving your choice in videos so far!

Guy Sebastian was the first winner of Australian Idol back in 2002 (I think). He has gone on to be one of our finest ever singer/songwriters, his voice is world class. He is also a judge on the Australian version of The Voice. He's also a fine human being.

You see the kiddies crying... They're feeling the words and emotion of this amazing song. Just goes to show, it doesn't matter how old we are... Stuff happening daily all around us and words like these can deeply touch our soul.... Love this. It gets me every time. Watch it a second time...and it will get you again.

Good reaction, I like how you keep things casual rather than some high-tech overreacting people. Both songs are quite emotional as they were written for people close to Guy. Choir is a tribute to a friend of Guy's who committed suicide, but Guy wanted the song to be happy because that's how he wants to remember him as. The second song is written for a family member who has mental health issues, and you can clearly feel his emotions in that one. Greetings from Sweden 😁🇸🇪

Yeah guy grew up singing in Catholic choirs and was one of those kid once upon a time. Adds that little extra feel to it IMO. Basically every single kid that sings I a Choir here idolizes and would know nearly every single Guy Sebastian song. As he is the goal every single one of the is probably already chasing. Guy is also a really good person through and through. IMO the most complete Idol Winner of all time. In any version of idol ever

Guy wrote and produced both those songs in he's home studio The first one was for a friend who passed from depression The second one i think he wrote for he's wife who suffer bad depression as well For that reason he doesn't travel much outside of Australia 🇦🇺 and if does short ammount of time Only if he's wife and children can travel with him You need to look up battle scares he wrote and sang on anzac day for our military during covid as we where all locked up No one could attend or march in that time so guy sung from his studio live to air on a radio station Cheers 🦘🇦🇺👍

He wrote the second song for a family member, not his wife. He wrote 2 songs for Jules (his wife) … Believer and Who I Love, both on his album, Truth.

U can tell by Guy's accent when he talks that he's not American, he's an Aussie & a brilliant Aussie singer/songwriter & genuinely a nice bloke. Our Aussie musicians aren't arrogant or stuck up, there's no "beefs" between each other instead they support each other no matter the genre. There's no competition, no rivalry but instead there's a massive amount of respect for each other, they're all great mates

he won the first ever "australian idol" back in 2003. he's been a steady and amazing voice in the australian music scene. i believe he went to the US for a while and was recording, but didn't have too much success there. he's a household name here though and as you said, is now a judge on the australian version of "the voice." a lot of reality singing show winners dont take off or have a lasting career in the ever-competitive music industry, but guy sebastian has been a solid constant. he also seems like a genuine and great guy (no pun intended). he has a heap of songs which have been hits on the australian charts - one of his biggest being "battle scars ft. lupe fiasco (american rapper)," love your reaction and the video too - it's really sweet.

Hi if you liked that song he’s got plenty to listen to, one I just recently heard he release about 2 years ago called (Believer ) he wrote and produced this song for his wife, for some reason they said it wasn’t as popular but he I thought it was beautiful. check it out you’ll be surprised.

Welcome to the guy Sebastian rabbit hole. As an aside, guy did go to the states but they wanted him to change his style etc , which he wasn’t prepared to do. The US in general tend to overlook Aussie musicians, so you guys miss out on what we here have the privilege to enjoy. Check out some of his live performances….there are at least 3 performances on the voice Australia, where he is a coach. You should also check out John Farnham…..this man has entertained us for over 50 years and even in his 70s, his voice is fantastic. He is known as a national treasure. Check him out live with the Melbourne symphony orchestra singing Help! John is always seen better live I reckon. What I like about both these artists is that they are such humble everyday people and neither has had an easy rise to where they are. Please enjoy.❤

Sebastian wrote this in memory of his long time mate, who had taken his own life. Context : The song is dedicated to his great friend and musical collaborator Luke Liang, who died following a battle with mental health. Wikipedia This is a song of celebration of his life. ❤
