she played a singer struggling just as her band started to get big

@@paultaylor9498 well your 80s and the the 80s i'm very familiar with are probably very different then , the roots of what the 80s were, the zeitgeist or the spirit of the time were laid down before the clock struck midnight on new years eve. I sat in a cinema in late 1980 and watched this film, when it was released, that cemented the date for me.

one of the best sax solos ever !!!!!!!!! love this song
@redsidebikerАй бұрын
Probably one of the most difficult sax solos ever. My ex who 40yrs ago played told me. That solo was used as the music for a TV show called "Ennall's Point" about a lifeboat station in West Wales.

From the film 'Breaking Glass' - & Hazel O'Conner wrote all the songs for the soundtrack as well as starred in it. Some other stand out tracks of hers are 'D-Days' 'Give Me An Inch' 'Eighth Day'. Hazel was still touring up until very recently when she had a brain bleed but all the reports are good & she is on the mend so if everyone could send her some good vibes we might not lose one of the massive talents of the post-punk era way too soon.

OMG I have never seen a reaction to Hazel! One of my favs from the soundtrack. That sax solo!! I got a tattoo of her lyrics when I finished chemo, not this song but from the song If Only. It says Hope Can be Salvaged When All Else Has Died. Thank you for reacting to her!

LOL - for the proof that "you never know what you're going to get", now go and watch the official video for "Eighth Day". These songs and the film clips are from the movie "Breaking Glass", which is really good and worth seeking out.

Why do all the reaction video`s and individual performers, comedians, singers, dancers all look like Dolly Parton in the rain. I`ll leave now, being a smart ass is hard work, haha. Cheers, have good day Britt.

This and eighth day were great songs. It's a shame she peaked so early. Clearly very talented.
