When I was a kid 'Orio' was a derogatory term (something I only knew later...) that meant someone that's genetically part black and white. I know you can *use* it that way, but I never thought it sounded derogatory on it's own. I don't care much for the whole crew. Foxworthy and Engval don't do much for me. My parents were racially biased (born in the 1920s), but *neither* of them would ever have tolerated overt racism, and us kids were taught not to be racist (even though it was for dumb racist reasons - "there's more of them and getting along will keep you alive" - no joke). Saying the things like you mentioned are disgusting. I had some great friends in HS who I enjoyed a lot. I was a skinny white boy who probably would have been bullied, except the black basketball players liked me. They made sure I wasn't bullied. I always thought the idea was stupid. I knew pale people in all races and dark people in all races. I knew smart people in all races, and dumb people in all races.

Don't laugh too hard, but I still listen to CD's in my car. I have my entire collection saved onto my computer, and burn my own CD's to listen to in the car. The truth is, I didn't feel like redoing my entire collection in digital. It was bad enough when I had to redo the entire thing from records to CD's..... and damn it, that was a lot of money I invested through the years. (Don't even get me started on my DVD/Blue-Ray collection of over 1,000 movies). Besides, I don't ever have to worry about them removing what I own from a streaming service.... and half of what I own cannot even be found anywhere. So, the truth is, we aren't as "old fashioned" as it seems. We just know the powers that be better than to ever trust them or put faith that they'll even be around very long. ~Laughs~
