His band, The Fabulous Thunderbird, was an awesome band. He left the band in 1990 to do an album with SRV. Then, when his brother died, he pursued a solo career. I think he's underrated.

He may have taught his brother how to play guitar, but Stevie left him in the dust. But, then SRV is perhaps the greatest of all time

Two brothers with completely different sounds. The Fabulous Thunderbirds had a sound reminiscent of the 1950's. "Tuff Enough" is a great tune from them that got quite a bit of play. Jimmie went on to do solo work after we lost Stevie. Jimmie's solo work was much more of the Blues variety. While I enjoy Jimmie and admire the talent he brings, Stevie Ray was a phenomenal guitar player. The Blues roots run deep in his style. He was talented beyond most any other guitarists of his day, or since, for that matter. It seems ironic that throughout Stevie Ray Vaughan's younger life, he looked up to his older brother. He borrowed licks that Jimmie used which infuriated him. It caused problems between them early on. However, since Stevie's passing, Jimmie has been able to carry on the brothers' legacy. It is a gift left for the brother that Stevie loved and admired.

You guys are fantastic! SRV was so proud of his big brother Jimmie! SRV when asked who is the best blues player he would always say with humility my brother Jimmie! Jimmie can rock it but definitely a blues man! Jimmie gives SRV for little brother getting sober! Enjoy the Vaughan brothers rabbit hole you have embarked upon. Gents...by all means, do "Tuff Enough" by Jimmie"s band The Fabulous Thunderbirds (Official Video please), with the fabulous Kim Wilson singing lead vocals. It was a big hit & such a FUN song! You can't hold still to that one. Just a note, fyi, people outside of the U.S. sometimes refer to a Texas accent as a Southern accent but Texas is its own thing, not really considered a part of the American South. We've got many different Southern accents all through Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Virginia, West Virginia, Mississippi, the Carolinas etc. Texas lies west of that whole area of the South & the Deep South & is huge & sort of its own thing although technically part of the Southern half of the country. There's a different feel to The South & Texas. But it's all wonderful! Confusing maybe, if you don't live here, but wonderful. 💙🌿💙🌿💙🌿💙🌿💙

You two have never seen the Blues Brothers? LOLLLL!! I don't think you can do it for a video review. Unless you want to start a movie review channel. But start out with Blues Brothers 1 for your own entertainment. Then go on to Blues Brothers 2. It is built on the Saturday Night Live skit Blues Brothers. It is a completely shameless way to show blues artists from the past & high light them again for a new generation. The movie story line is a complete nonsense other than that. You two wouldn't know some of the movies about music.
