There's also a lot of strategy and thinking in this anime and remembering names and places is probably something you should do it's really good and it's also the first anime with "bad" animation that I watched

If you can get past the cgi in the 1st season this is definetely worth the watch especially with s5 coming out in january

so little context, there are 5 seasons out at the moment, and each one of them is about 24-26 eps. having 1-2 openings and endings and I do recommend the endings as well. but it's more or less about a young peasant boy called Shin of Xin, whose destiny changes when his friend dies. and he is tasked with carrying their dream of becoming the greatest general under the heavens. Xin later goes through a lot of fights, wars, and battles. within the warring states period of china when there are 7 kingdoms. and yes each season usually has a different state of growth or age in which we see Shin's life.

Not gonna lie i thought i was trippin when i saw the title. Kingdom is such an amazing but hidden gem about war and based on Chinese history. There's a bit of mysticism but there isn't really any power system though some of the characters are insanely strong. The main character is a peasant boy who wants to be the greatest general there is. The story shows us his journey to become that. I havent checked but I'm sure its less than 100 episodes. The story is amazing but the anime has horrific animation for the most part (season 3,4 is decent in animation). I prefer the manga just because both the writing and the art are amazing as opposed to the anime which has a couple of season with horrible cgi. It's one of my favorite stories I've ever read. Would definitely recommend it.

One of the best Manga there is. First seazon of anime killed the series witch awful his CGI. There is no other series that would focus so much on strategy and the fight of large numbers of people as Kingdom. There is also no shortage of super interesting war planning and political intrigues.

Kingdom is great, I know animation in season 1 is funky, but the story... It's a historical fiction, before China was unified cca. 2200 years ago. Many events and characters are real. The main characters are an orphan boy that decided to be the greatest general and his king. And there are a ton of supporting characters, alies or enemies. For me the best way to realize what era this anime is dealing with, was watching the 8th ending/ 2nd ending of the season 3 - 'kIng'. The animation gets better with every season, currently the 5th season is running and it's really greatly adapted from manga (pacing, tension, humour...). Manga is ongoing (weekly), 786 chapters till now, and is one of top 10 best selling. And both manga and the anime can be addictive 😁

I know about kingdom but I've never watched it fully, so even for me its kind of a mystery. I did watch part of season one and I remember it being good though. I think the issue was that I was watching it in dub and the dub is horrendous for it. You should consider Durarara!! openings 1-5 and Baccano! opening 1 which is sort of a prequel to Durarara!!, Its one of my favorites in anime and music. If you do react to these I recommend finding a separate video for at least opening 5, since they do some fun stuff that the compilations usually cut out.

Kingdom is great! The one thing that didn't let it become more popular is that the first season of anime has terrible CGI animation. The manga is one of the most popular right now and is always in the top 5 most sold of the year.

Definitely worth watching just finished season 5 today. Just need to be patient with s1’s introductory part and Bad CGI, after that it only goes better season after season Story about, it tells about China’s history, about how it got united from small kingdoms into 1 nation. Epic fights and so many great characters (like Naruto) even if they have small screen time but massive impact on story Fire openings 1 of the best collection which you might’ve noticed already Overall a complete package if you’re not into Normie type of shows and want to watch something serious and intellectual

Kingdom at start is bad but as you keep watching hoping it would turn out to be somehow decent it will catch you totally of guard with breathtaking moments. The brain stop working war and politics are so complex and really well written charecters alot of emotional stories and mere thought of watching a Kingdom episode gets me excited.

It's so hard to find non-lame/way over exaggerated clickbait reaction channels, cool to see you just genuinely reacting and dissecting. Also, Kingdom is basically about a young war orphan's life story of rising up from nothing to become the greatest general of China 500 years into a seemingly ceaseless period of war. One of the MCs wants to unite China by conquering all of the other kingdoms, which fight with armies in the 100s of thousands. Season one threw me off a bit because it's CGI and weird compared to other anime in terms of animation, but season 2 onward it becomes well-animated in the traditional way and the story is great right from episode one.
