Funny how most people that watched Arcane have no clue that most of the characters that showed up on the series are literally some of the weakest power wise in the entirity of runeterra

Yup and that's why only Mel will make it to the next show in noxus, not only cause it makes sense narrative wise but also power wise. Although i think she would still be on the weak side due to her inexperience in battle her power might have a high potential. I see her as like lux, they both have powerful abilities but they are still weak bcs they have no experience, someone like talon who is an assassin with no magical powers to speak of would make quick work out of lux and mel even tho their potential is higher than his. but i agree with u, if anyone else from arcane except for Victor and warwick came to noxus they would most likely be at the bottom of the food chain. maybe singed would thrive and jayce if he starts making weapons for them but i digress.

@jamesbrook9815 Honestly. Leblanc alone is more powerfull than the entire Arcane season's characters put togueder. Even someone like Katarina is quite above power level to someone like Cait, Vi, Ambessa etc...

The funny thing about the Assassin/Spider fight (katarina/elise) is that the Assassin DID end up killing her target 😭if you see at 4:08 she moves the fight closer to him and slices his neck and gold jumps out and at 4:28 you can see him dead lying on the floor and Katarina smirks at Elise like "gottem 😏"

@@maximilianweber3743 Vlad absorbed the power of a god-warrior and was so strong he was worshipped as a God. We're also completely ignoring that if Viktor was that strong and actually capable of world-ending events bard or zoe or ryze or someone would've showed up and smoked him already. Viktors power is definitely a little unclear so I don't think it's impossible that he could be stronger or at like similar (just different) strength. We really only know from the show that he took over piltover and taking over a small part of runeterra isn't exactly some unique feat.

Ryze maybe but seeing how they are kinda doing a new canon with arcane maybe his role/power is gonna be different. And an entire nation full of hextech zombies would be tough for even strong league characters.

Firstly, we open with an image of a wolf which represents one half of Kindred. This is in reference to Ambessa blood, sweat and Tears because Mel has “The Mark of the chosen/The Mark of the Wolf.” Also the opening starts on the same exact beach that Ambessa survived on, you can look at it shot for shot, I think it is on Rockrund, a beach near noxus. Next part shows Katarina attending a ball dance. For some context, League released some Noxus skins for Ezreal, Renata Glasc (the most powerful chembaron from Zaun), Thresh, and some others. The reasoning is that the “Black Rose” apparently has invited some other strong suitors to a party, hoping to gain their pledge. We don’t see them here (it is to be assumed they all might make teases or appearances in the next series), but Katarina snuck her way into the dance. Katarina is an assassin for Noxus, very skilled. Next we have Darius, a young darius going up against young Trundle, the king of the Trolls from the Frejlord. Now we technically don’t know if Noxus at this point is attempting to push in Frejlord or if actually the Trolls came too far down on purpose. (Most likely Noxus pushing in Frejlord since they are about conquering other nations and lands) The Trolls of Frejlord are close with Lissandra who can make ice-borne weapons and true ice weapons. To keep it short, Trundle’s club is not “True” ice, if it was, no mere mortal can actually touch the weapon, they literally die if they touch the weapon. But “Ice-borne” weapons are still very strong weapons, which is why you see the weapon start to freeze Darius' hand and arm. The gate that Mel is walking up to is the opening Arch to Noxus and in the far distance is the home capital, Immortal Bastion. It actually is the largest standing building in all of Runeterra.. Next as Katarina is attempting to kill her target, we see Elise pop out who is a spider. She also got invited to the Noxus ball, presumably protecting someone. If I am correct, Elise is more of a shadow Isle’s champ, but she is part of the Black Rose because Leblanc saved her and she became mutated after being bitten by a Spider-demi god called “Vilemaw.”. At the very end, we officially get to see Leblanc, it is confirmed this is her official VGU (Visual Game Update) and as of right now, lore accatue appearance. Along with Leblanc we get to see Vladamir, he actually used to be human MANY centuries ago, but he magically altered himself, absorbed the power of darkin and has been using blood magic to keep himself young. Vlad and Leblanc established The Black Rose centuries ago and they work from the shadows. There is technically a third person, but we do not know who that is yet. We again hear reference to “opportunity washed up on our shore = Mel” (again showing a wolf because she has the mark of the wolf from Kindred) The calamity they are talking about is the return of Mordekaiser, which the black rose is trying to prevent. To keep it short, basically all of Runeterra does not want the mofo returning and he is actually banished underneath the immortal bastion (Also much of Runeterra doesn’t actually know who he is because when he existed was centuries ago, except for Leblanc and Vlad and any other people part of The Black Rose organization.) As per usual, the Black Rose are considered “evil”, but in their evil doings, they are trying to prevent a worse event from happening as referenced right above. The very last thing people are Guessing it’s either a reference to Aatrox sword, or Naafiri dagger, both of which are Darkin weapons or it could be Riven’s sword (Riven is a champion from Noxus). Hopefully that breaks everything down for ya lol. On a personal note I am mixed about this trailer. On one hand, it stands amazingly on its own, and it’s basically teasing their next series. Anybody correct if I am wrong, but Riot Games announced that this year, they would be resetting their seasons back to season 1 (thus why it’s called season 1 cinematic) and changing their format, since league came out in 2010, every year is considered 1 season = 1 year, thus they always do a top tier cinematic for launch. (this year would’ve been season 15 cinematic) . But this year, they are going to reset seasons, and “chapters” throughout the season, meaning they were upping their cinematics now to 3 in a year. My point being, I am slightly sad they didn’t do their other animation. I don’t know if Riot Games is just going to go full hard with Fortiche on everything moving forward, but compared to previous season trailers, just a slight let down. But if it wasn’t for comparison, it’s an amazing trailer and if we get two more this year, that would be awesome. They definitely let out a lot of champs people wanted such as Draven, Riven, Rell, Swain, Mordekaiser, Samira, Kled, and some others. I feel like for some very die hard fans of just league, it could start splitting up the player base/fan base, just slightly. I personally end up leaning towards loving this trailer though, I love the freaking music. I don’t think anybody expected to see Trundle or Frejlord and I think once we get into the Noxus show, they are definitely setting up all their puzzle pieces to then expand everywhere else, Shurima, Ionia, Frejlord, Demacia, etc. I also just wanted to point out if people haven’t thought about it, Katarina is a VERY skilled assassin, not only can elise transform into a spider whenever (Idk why she stops, but it’s a trailer) but to take on two arms, plus her spider arms, that takes some mad skill and training. Again I know it’s a trailer, but katarina is really bad ass, just like Darius, embodies much of Noxus willpower, strength, and skill.

Umm they are stonger mages then Victor, got ears and eyes everywhere LeBlanc is over 1000 years old so experience and knowlage is crazy here Vladimir is so old that he cant remember most of his life lol hes prolly about two times older then LeBlanc They are very very wise and hungry for power

no, Vlad is certainly not that much older, he was traded to the Darkins as a prisoner who let him study their magic that is how he became a hemomancer, also I find it funny how Vlad is not even arrogant when acting like it, cause he literally was traded as a commodity and harnessed the power of demigods as a mere mortal, he as every right to act arrogant.

And here's a good way to describe Noxus, Overall, they are viewed as evil, expansionist nation that likes war. But internally, they just value strength above all else. Ironically, and not to retcon the show, they offer any many new nations they conquer a chance to join the nation of Noxus from lowest citizen to the highest official. If you can do something and you have the willpower to show your value, you will do well. Darius and his brother Draven started in the slums of Noxus and worked their ways up to the highest positions in the military. Darius represents Might, along with Swain who represents Vision and there's guile, but we don't know who that is yet in league lore. In short, they are a meritocracy that values individuals' abilities, strengths, and talents vs. wealth, social class, or race. In short, if you are weak, you will not survive in Noxus society.

@@DipDownAnime Most Noxus characters are way above the Piltover and Zaun Characters. People have been comparing Jayce to Darius........Darius is in a league of his own compared to Jayce. Piltover and Zaun story was really good, but Noxus has some crazy stuff.

I know nothing about League but I'm assuming that whole Mel mental fight scene was a kind of test from the Black Rose and if she couldn't beat the mental projections she would have been passed out and not able to enter Noxus.

like most season opening cinematics since 2018 this has snippets of stories, that dont have to be happening at the same time, which seems to be the case here. Mels scenes and the conversation at the end are happening after Arcane which we still are not sure where exactly it lands on the timeline, but most people narrow it down to a 9 year span. The warrior Darius fighting the blue Troll Trundle is happening in the past, as it was confirmed that that is a younger version of a character from the game. The fight between the Redhead Assassin Katarina and the Spider Lady Elise is happening in the future, unless they decide to change the Assassins most recent story. The monument Mel is examining is called a Noxtura its functions both as a road mark and as a roman victory arch, and it is build by Noxus in territory they control to mark roads that lead to the Capital city, and its covered in carving representing the history of the Empire. A twist on the saying "All Roads lead to Rome" and Roman Victory Arches. As may be apparent Noxus has some inspiration in the Roman Empire Mel then gets a vision she sees an enormous structure which is called The Immortal Bastion located in the Capital city called simply Noxus. It is also the place where the Headquarters of the Black Rose are located. As she makes he way towards the structure, she is confronted by forces that are affiliated with the Black Rose. 1st the Gray Legion, warriors raised into undead zombie soldiers raised using blood magic (if you look closer they have grayish skin and glowing red eyes). And speaking of that she is then accosted by 4 Hemomancers (or Blood mages) that try to subdue her. Then there is a lot of rubble flying her way, not sure what that is about could be a representation of weight if the knowlage and secrets the Black Rose have. The Noxian Warrior is called Darius, and in depending on when Arcane happens he has just become or will become one of the Rulers of Noxus. But in the scene Darius is younger, either a leader of a Noxian warband, or a champion of one or both. The Troll Trundle is the self-styled King of the Trolls, who is a rare non-human Iceborn, Iceborn are mainly people with the ability to touch and wield a substances called True Ice - this magical ice, contains such power that if any being that is not Iceborn touches it directly they will die in in excruciating pain - and as seen in the fight it can corrupt other materials. Katarina is an assassin and daughter of one of the noble houses of Noxus, she was send to the party by one of the Rurlers of Nouxs at that time called Swain, as as I mentioned this scene is most likely happening in the future, to kill a important target, the masked man it seem possibly an important member or supporter of the Black Rose, as the Organization is in conflict with the official Leadership of that time. We can assume the scene is happening in the future because there is a comic that came out 2 years ago focused on her, we learned when she gained the ability to teleport, which she does at one point during the fight, she gets the ability thanks to a ritual that bound her daggers to her body, and that happened years after Swain came to power, and that would put it years after the span where we believe Arcane is happening. Elise the spider lady was a noblewoman of Noxus that was poisoned by her husband, and survived thanks to the Black Rose, that enabled her to make a deal with a ravenous spider god from a place called the Shadow Isles ... she gained her spider abilities and can transform into a giant spider thanks to this as long as she and the black rose keep sending sacrifices to the god regularly. At the end we see LeBlanc and Vladimir the 2 Leader and Founders of the Black Rose ... the are quite old. despite what they look, LeBlanc is a master of illusion magic and manipulation, and can create clones of herself and send them out into the world even poses people, Vladimir is the first mortal Hemomancer - Blood mage, magic which he learned from Corrupted Demigods called Darkin to whom he was sent as a hostage.

@@miccarl1208 As far as I know yes directly touching True ice is fatal for Mortals, the grey area here is was the axe covered in real True ice or just in a brst of its magic, which would be an indirect touch ... as seen still bad but not necessarily lethal.
