His understanding of music is preternatural. No one taught this guy. You can hear in the lyrics how he goes about forming verses. He’ll be on triplets one moment, then, out of nowhere he breaks into short 16th note speed rhyming. People in the Chicago Symphony work for years to develop the type of song segmenting that Prof has had in his tool box all along. He is outside the box and he’s going to stay there. Unpredictable is a perfect word to describe Prof!

Anyone want to explain "ive been chasing beat down by the 12" to me? I have a few different theories as to what it could mean but they're probably all wrong 😂 when i think "beat" i think of cops, especially vice, and the areas they patrol. So is he saying he gets stopped by cops alot in a certain area? (I would assume "the 12" is like a train or something). Please correct me if im wrong.
