as people said, it's really difficult to talk about Re:Zero without spoilers, but it has one of the best first anime episodes of all anime the Light Novel is probably one of the best releasing in the last years and the anime adaption is very good too I recommend diving into it without any info, the first ep answers most of your questions, then if you like it, you can continue to watch it

Opening 3 is by far my favorite, not only because of the song but also the visuals. They represent Re:Zero really well. It’s a very dark, gruesome and depressing psychological horror and not like any other isekai. It’s my second favorite isekai after _That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime_ (which you should also check out the OPs and EDs of). I highly recommend you to start watching this anime. Subaru is one of the best MCs I’ve ever seen. He undergoes a lot of character development due to all the pain and suffering he goes through. Like seriously, I’ve never seen anyone suffer throughout a show as much as he does. I think he’s a very realistic person, especially because he’s actually really weak and doesn’t have any special powers except for one thing, but that would be a spoiler. Also, Rem (the blue haired maid) is best girl.

Yes! OP3 is insane, it's even better if you understand the lyrics and also the words that flash by as we get flashes of Subaru running and the people he cares about (something like "If it's to save you, I don't care how many times I die")

As other people have already put it, hard to really say what the show is about and it's better to go in blind, but it seriously is one of my favorite shows of all time, if not my favorite. I couldn't recommend it enough. Edit: Re:Zero also has two movies which aren't important for plot, but are canon and help explain the story a bit more that you can watch after season 1. There's a small time skip between some episodes in season 1, but it's absolutely fine if you finish season 1 first and then watch Memory Snow and Frozen Bond after season 1 in that order and then head on to season 2 if you ever decide to watch the show. I hope you enjoy it!

The second film could've been condensed to one ep easily, it just throws few new facts and doesn't develop or disclose any characters, Lia and Puck are the same the way they were in the S1.

Frozen bond with Emilia in the forest absolutely is important for the plot and her own character development to the viewer, memory snow you can skip through all the contest parts thats just filler but honestly its just a fun watch and has good info as well to explain certain things with how the world works.

@@RFG910 Because there are a lot of people who only watch anime with a super strong main character who sneezes kills all the monsters and saves his harem. And so that they have really human emotions, it's already boring and stupid for them. Take the same Game of Squid, where everyone hated San Wu, who is actually the most human in the series, everyone who would get into this show also cheated and pushed others to survive. but in a comfortable warm place, they begin to talk about morality.

I personally like all the openings and endings for Re:Zero. The show is very dark without spoiling too much about the anime. My number 1 favorite Isekai anime is Re:Zero. Overlord is my second favorite Isekai anime in my opinion. I am ready to watch season 3 of Re:Zero wants it come out.

so re zero is really good but a few things you should know about it going in to make it 100% clear... if you ever watch it (no spoilers) 1. battles are present but aren't really the focus of the story, the focus is primarily the world and characters 2. the anime requires a lot of attention on the part of the viewer because it has a lot of information to digest and a mystery element aka not everything is always spelled out for you immediately or clearly 3. re zero is a character study, a psychological horror, and a massive fantasy rolled into one this is all i can really say but i hope it at least told you what to expect from it

In my professional opinion as a Re:Zero fan with absolutely no musical background at all, here's my ranking: (Best to worst) Opennings: Openning 2 (Paradise proxurium) the chorus is just brilliant and gets me every time. Openning 4 (Long Shot) I go back on forth on if this is my favorate, that low section and the whispers is something else, and the chorus is great too. Openning 1 (Redo) I enjoy the long buildup and the chorus is solid too, it just doesn't vary itself all that much. Openning 3 (Realise) None of the opennings are bad, but this one is the weakest, it can't make up its mind if it wants to be grand and orchestral, or a rock song, and the song never finishes its thought "I'll reach the end of fate and finally realise" realise what? Why is that the final word? Endings: Ending 1 (Styx Helix) This is the only ending I willingly sit through, I love all of it to the point where it could easily be an intro and I'd enjoy it, every time I hear "Please don't let me die", it gives literal goosbumps. Openning 3 (no idea) it's pretty good, haven't listenned to it an aweful ammount, but it seems solid. Openning 4 (IDK) I do like that drop, it's just a bit generic. Openning 2 - I feel like you could put this tune on the end of any anime and it would serve its purpose, it's just so generic and unmemorable.

This might be a little late but, I will tell what Re: zero is about. Re:zero has two main themes, defying fate, and starting again from zero, with its ultimate point being “love yourself”, it's first, foremost, and lastly a love story of two people trying to endure a cruel world, it's a Isekai where the main characters are good people, the protagonist has to use help from others to solve the problems, and it has a lot of gore and emotional damage, so be warned.

Yes it's very lit very hard to explain tho but immensely good in every aspect but i would say it is far to good in the dark tragedy type genre AND I am more of a novel fan but the anime is good to but the novel makes you feel more of the impact the novels is better in the little details that gives you a better understanding of how f up the situation is for our MC if you watch it your for sure in for that Tokyo ghoul level of tragedy but it's worst it's not even that dark it literally tragic it got in tears the most in any anime ever to crazy

Re: Zero is one of the greats, at least where isekais are concerned, and k owing anytbing about what to expect ruins something special.
