Skid Row was definitely a foundation band for me in the 80’s and 90’s Sebastian Bach is an amazing vocalist that has been in Broadway performances. He has an extremely powerful voice. “I’ll Remember You” and “Wasted Time” are two more of their popular songs but they have a lot of great music

Sebastian had the best vocals in Hard Rock imo and their songs had substance. I was 16 when their debut album came out and I bought it right away. My absolute favorites of theirs are Wasted Time, 18 and Life, I Remember You, Youth Gone Wild, and Sweet Little Sister.

Skid Row w/ original vocalist Sebastian Bach was truly special... Without him, they were just another average band, sad to say... From 1989 to 1996, Skid Row had the best run. They fired the singer and broke up in '96...They tried again w/ a new singer - it wasn't successful... They are still looking for Bach's replacement. Formed in New Jersey in the mid-80's, Skid Row (not the Irish rock band Skid Row from the 60's) found Canadian singer Sebastian Bach and he joined Rachel Bolan (bass), Dave 'Snake' Sabo & Scotti Hill (guitars) and Rob Affuso (drums) and their self-titled debut album in 1989 sold 5x platinum in the US and made Skid Row a global sensation - but Sebastian Bach (vocals) was clearly the star of the band w/ his looks and high octave vocal range... They were huge on MTV w/ the singles - '18 and life' ... 'I remember you' ... 'Youth gone wild' ... 'Piece of me'... 2nd album 'Slave to the grind' in 1991, a heavier record, charted at #1 in the US and sold 2x platinum in the US (2 million copies) w/ more hits on MTV - 'Monkey business' ... 'Slave to the grind' ... 'Wasted time' ... Unfortunately, Skid Row signed a business contract that gave their royalties to Bon Jovi in order to get signed to a label... as a result, the band made no money after selling millions of records worldwide and that cause friction between the band and singer Sebastian Bach. In 1995, Skid Row released their 3rd album 'Subhuman Race'... but the 90's alternative/ grunge rock scene has decimated their popularity and the album sold poorly... the tour was also played in small venues... In 1996, the personal clashes finally resulted in vocalist Sebastian Bach being fired, along w/ drummer Rob Affuso... and Skid Row was over. Sebastian Bach began touring and recording as a solo artist in 1999 and even performed on Broadway... appeared on the TV series 'Gilmore Girls' as a recurring role of a guitar player. Bolan, Snake and Hill reformed Skid Row in 2000 w/ Johnny Solinger (vocals)... but subsequent albums and tours were not as successful. Johnny Solinger was eventually fired in 2015; he passed away in 2021 from alcohol abuse resulting in liver failure. Skid Row used numerous singers and eventually found Erik Gronwall from Sweden to front the band and even recorded an album "The gang's all here" in 2022... hoping for a major comeback. But Gronwall quit Skid Row in 2024.

If you were to genetically engineer the perfect rock-n-roll frontman, you'd get Sebastian Bach! He's hands down one of the best rock vocalists of the last 50 years with all the bad-boy rock-n-roll attitude. Now, everyone's gonna tell you to listen to their power-ballads "I Remember You" and "Wasted Time" next, but DON'T. The rest of the boys that make up Skid Row are no slackers, so go for some of their heavier stuff first - Slave to the Grind, Monkey Business, Youth Gone Wild, Makin a Mess - THEN let Sebastian's vocals on the ballads absolutely blow your freaking mind!
