I mean... You should see the whacked 17th or 18th cum 21st century (can't remember which century) semi-break dance number Joe Alwyn did with Rachel Weiz in the movie The Favourite 😂 I definitely think Travis is far better suited to her than Joe, but I think people get the wrong impression that he was just sad and serious all the time. He inspired this music video for Taylor, so it was good for a few years at least 🤷‍♀️

Good catch on the Track 5. It is always known as the most heart-breaking song on each album. Fans commented on that early on, so Taylor then turned it into a tradition. This one is definitely hard to decode the lyrics while trying to catch all the visuals. OG Swifties can decode better, but it's about her starting a new relationship at a time when she was trashed by Kanye and still feeling those affects publicly. She talks about sneaking around and trying to be lowkey and to not draw attention to her or them as a new couple. Ironically, most of the 6 years she was with Joe were like that. They were rarely in public together and he really seemed to hate the paparazzi. This is why everyone is so happy for our girl and her relationship with Travis - she can be herself and they show up for each other and celebrate each other instead of hiding from the world.

This IS NOT FAIR. The tabloids and the paparazzi ARE NOT THE REAL WORLD. Joe didn't want to live in the fake drama that the tabloids invent around mega celebrities. He actually wanted a real relationship in the real world with her. He never seemed to shy away from talking about her with fans on the street. He never avoided gushing about her in interviews. Travis is a better fit for Taylor because he has had to deal with the same level of unacceptably over the top trash tabloid media attention that Taylor is forced to have to deal with. You are regurgitating the tabloid narrative of Joe and Taylor's relationship.

The lyrics say that he has heard about her reputation but that he keeps in contact with her anyway. Considering what he must have heard about her, she knows that it's actually herself that he cares about. Not what random strangers have to say about her.

You saying there is no way she could get on a subway makes me think how people always make a huge deal about her flying on her private jet and how it always makes me mad because those same people would be pissed at her if she was at a commercial airport and they got delayed because being were flocking to her and they couldn’t take off. There is no way for her to safely fly commercial with the amount of crazy stalkers she has

Thank you! As a flight attendant, I’ve always said for as much as I love Taylor, there is no way I’d want her on my flight. Ok, yeah, I would die, but… we would be so f**ked at the gate and slammed by Lookie Lou’s trying to get into First to get a glimpse of her, not to mention the crew acting up, that I’m like, NO. If she asked me to work for her privately though, hello! I’m retired now and available! 😅 Between me and Tree, we will protect her.

You get to have this feeling of what is happening 5:18 Honestly... I have just understood this video because of your reaction. 10:06 you need to watch the making of video. Hilarious. My boyfriend made a respectful funny about her, new into our relationship and I said "Tread carefully, that woman means more to me than most of my birth family" Now we've been together 6 yrs and he has his own TS playlist, defends her and knows almost every song even if he doesn't know the title. His favorite song is Speak Now, Favorite Album 1989 😅

He had an issue with paparazzi and tabloids. He was always very open with meeting her fans and doing interviews about her. The tabloids spun that BS narrative that he wanted to hide her or their relationship, but his actions showed differently. But Travis is definitely a better fit for her 😊

I love this song. It reminds me of the beginning of a relationship.....Falling in LIKE with each other. "I like you...ALOT" and then being like...."omg..is cool I said that?"...."is it cool i don't want to share?" Because it's a delicate situation. BTW.. Reputation made me a Swifty. This was Joe Alwyn, right at the beginning of all the crap with Kanye making her look like a liar. She ran to England and spent years hiding because of that. Joe wanted a quiet personal life apparently so at the time it was a perfect place for her to be free of the media as much as someone like her could be anyway.

I still didn't see a fish when you did. Then you talked about Taylor being able to slide from the roof of the car down into a split. I could only sit down on the roof and slide down. The Reputation album is a love album for her then boyfriend Joe. The album has 15 songs, only 3 are aimed at media and KimYe, the other 12 are basically love songs. So yes, this is a song describing how difficult it's going to be to be in a relationship with her.

No, she found her guy she was meeting. It’s thought she was in London (early relationship with Joe after Kim and Kanye did her dirty with that rearranged phone call recording). She went to London to lick her wounds and figure out what’s next and she met Joe Alwyn, actor). In London, where she was left more alone, but yeah, she doesn’t go anywhere without security. Reputation was her rebuilt album after dealing with Kim and Kanye making her look like a liar about a nasty lyric he had in a song he wanted Taylor to approve. She never even heard the actual lyric, but still didn’t give permission and when the actual album dropped, Kanye had a lyric about he should have sex with Taylor because he made her famous (we he jumped on stage at the VMAs and it erupted her acceptance speech for her very first VMA only to say Beyoncé should have gotten the award. Reputation came out on fire and she ended up dating Joe for 6 years, but ultimately he could not deal with her fame and they parted right before the Eras Tour began.
