Beautiful Missunnaturally, FANTASTIC/AWESOME/GREAT reaction. You haven't heard anything yet. This song is just a small sample of what the PHENOMENAL So Hyang can do with her MAGICAL voice. Voice coaches agree that her technique is FLAWLESS. Her ANGELIC/POWERFUL and breath control are UNMATCHED and EFFORTLESS. So Hyang's goal continues to be, to use her voice to bring comfort to people who are experiencing difficult times. She has rejected numerous offers from major record labels. This gracious, humble woman is not motivated by either money or fame. Even when she sings in Korean, it is not necessary to understand the lyrics, because So Hyang is BRILLIANT at conveying the meaning/message of the song. She also arranged every aspect of this song. Not that it matters, but So Hyang speaks fluent English.

Sohyang is such a powerhouse! Such an amazing vocalist. She’s a 42 year old Korean singer and cancer survivor who started out in gospel before crossing over into mainstream music so that she could, according to her, comfort and soothe as many people with her voice as possible. However, she has intentionally avoided worldwide fame. She’s been singing for 25 years now and she’s pretty well known in (and even outside) Korea for her incredible voice. I loved your reaction! And she has multiple amazing performances. I’d recommend “Arirang Alone,” “Everyone,” and “You Raise Me Up” (2018) next!

Welcome to Sohyang's world. 4th impact attempted Sohyang's version of this song but nobody sings it like Sohyang, she is one of the worlds greatest but least known vocalists. She is a South Korean gospel singer (also not a girl she was 37 here) who sings to heal and comfort. You have not heard of her because she is an independent artist who has never signed to a large label. Trust me they have tried, she turned down Sony a few months ago. This was from Immortal Songs 2. We all wonder if So Hyang is human or from another planet. Current odds are that she’s from another planet, with an outside chance she’s actually an angel come down from Heaven. 😇 We have never heard anyone sing like her, or be able to hold an audience in the palm of her hand until she lets them go. Her voice is, as one person described it, like liquid gold. Perfection in clarity and pitch, and she doesn’t fade in the upper octaves, which is startling when you hear her hit those 5th and 6th octave notes with such _POWER_ it actually gives everyone goose bumps-and makes us bald guys’ hair stand on end! As she says, her voice “is from God.” She does all the musical arrangements herself (with the input of her musical assistants), teaches vocal technique at a South Korean university and speaks four languages. Korean, English, French and Vietnamese. Let me catch my breath. OK. She is a cancer survivor from uterine cancer at the age of 20, just after getting married, and states very plainly that God saved her life due to the prayers of her church. But this left her without the ability to have children so she decided to dedicate her life to being a Contemporary Christian Gospel singer and has refused recording contracts from the biggest corporations in the world. She only wants to sing for charities, churches and while doing missionary work, to strengthen those suffering through difficult times. David Foster, Josh Groban, Michael Bolton and others have all travelled to Asia to work with her. She contracted hepatitis B from a blood transfusion during her cancer surgery and it clings to her to this day. Because of this she is prone to catching pneumonia but has sang perfectly while suffering from it in her live performance of “You Raise Me Up” before Shane Filan of Westlife on South Korean TV: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qpbCfWylm82Iqpo She has asked those who love her singing to pray that God keep pneumonia away from her, she has suffered from it on so many occasions. Imagine how she must feel with this coronavirus floating around everywhere! She was about 37 when she sang this version of “Arirang Alone”, their unofficial national anthem based on a 600 year old folk song expressing their desire to reunify north and south: vimeo.com/308253527 After being sick with pneumonia eight times from 2016 through to 2020, and considering giving up singing altogether, she chastised herself and entered a televised singing contest called “King of the Masked Singers” in 2017 and won six consecutive times, which has catapulted her into international fame from the performances being posted on KZbin. Whitney Houston’s former manager saw her on KZbin and showed her to Oprah Winfrey, who brought her to David Foster’s attention. Foster then contacted So Hyang and went to Japan in order to perform eight concerts together at Tokyo’s famous Blue Note Club in late 2018. (For those who don't know, David Foster was Whitney Houston's producer for her albums, wrote "I Have Nothing", her most iconic song, and is probably the most famous and influential music producer in the world. Then she later saw a Korean TV drama where the talented daughter of a very successful businessman was positive she would take over when her father retired. But he left the management of the company to a woman she hated, so she had a fit and lay kicking and screaming on the floor. She is South Korean (now 42) a ccm/gospel singer, devout Christian, cancer survivor, university professor, and an author of fantasy novels. She is not only one of the best female vocalists currently on the planet but a wonderful human being also. This was from a show called Immortal Songs 2. I saw your reaction few months ago that 4th impct's Bridge over troubled water Sohayng version and i heard using the word perfection for them..Finally you seem to found out what is perfection,,They tried hard and i respect them,,But frankly this is seriously difficult version so they couldn't even get close to Sohyang.. Lots of reactors on Sohyang show a kind of the same pattern. In the beginning: they often pause the performance for analyzing the voice and pitch, stage, etc with their musical knowledge or experience and whatever. the most common word is " wow so angelic", In the middle of the performance: they keep saying a few words repeatedly, " amazing", "wow". " dang" etc, when it gets close to the climax, they don't pause it and forget to analyze the song, just speechless with blank eyes. then, at the end, they say "oh, my gosh", "where she comes from", "how I didn't know her", "please tell me more about her songs" , etc. .lol. I think you are also one of them. But your reaction was fantastic too!!! Welcome to the world of Sohyang. Now, you will see it will be very hard to escape from her world. too much addictive. lol
