This was beautiful to watch! Stevie Wonder has been one of my favorite artists for my entire life, so it's really fun to see someone discover the magic for the first time! He truly is in my opinion, the greatest singer-songwriter of all time. Being one of the greatest male vocalists of all time is just a drop in the bucket of his musical mastery (overjoyed is a beautiful, but restrained vocal for him, when Stevie lets loose, he can sing circles so many other greats). Out of his 25 grammy wins (most of any male solo artist) he's one of the few to have wins not just for vocal performances (like a million times, last time he won was for a song released in 2005) but also for album of the year (again, several times), and also producer of the year (for his own album before the rules were changed), in addition multiple wins for song of the year, record, etc. So he's at the top of his game and has been recognized for every facet of his artistry. He's also virtually a one man band who plays several instruments and revolutionized modern pop music with the work he did with synths in the early 70s when he was in his early 20s. Add all of that to his incredible lyricism and his otherworldly compositions, and you get, as I said, the greatest singer-songwriter of all time. If someone can show me an artist who is his equal as a vocalist AND a songwriter AND a composer AND a lyricist AND a musical arranger AND a multi instrumentalist AND a revolutionary producer, then we could talk lol. But that's about the tallest order there is. Anyway, you're on an incredible journey in discovering him for the first time, and I couldn't be happier for you!!

I’m blown away that you never heard any of his songs. It’s Stevie Wonder. There’s a reason why he has earned SO many awards. I’m really surprised at this…wait until you hear Ribbon In The Sky (my favorite song) and to Village Ghetto Land. Hearing his songs will make a grown man cry…it’s like he’s taken a blank canvas and paints a beautiful picture right in front of your eyes.

Michael also called Stevie "a musical prophet." He loved him and learned from him so much.

Some composers/singers seem to have been born for soul music because they transmit to the heart the inner essence of the love it creates. Pure Art. Greetings from Brasil.

Great song! He has so many stunning songs that he's created. For something a little different, check out a young Stevie doing a cover of "Money (That's What I Want)" in a small setting for a European TV show. You'll get his fast-paced vocals, his piano-playing, and his harmonica. It's rockin'!

Finally! A reaction that recognizes not only fabulous voice and melody, but incredible lyrics. The way he takes standard sayings and turns them around so you don't get the full meaning until the end of the phrase is masterful...

It is a cliché, but he is a true musical genius along with Billy Joel probably the two best poets we’ve ever had writing lyrics, and Stevie is a very underrated vocalist. In my opinion you should pull up the words to the song lately a beautiful ballad and it’s about somebody who starting to think the person there with might be cheating on them and Jodeci did a cover in the 90s.

OMG you should watch “We Are the World”, by USA for Africa. It was a huge fund raiser to fight famine. Stevie Wonder is in it and you’ll be shocked by the other big stars you recognize. I won’t ruin the surprise by naming names! ❤

This has always been one of my favorite Stevie Wonder songs. Beautiful lyrics along with a great and deceivingly complex melody and a great delivery. There are many great songs by Stevie to explore, such as “Superstition,” “Sir Duke,” “Isn't She Beautiful,” “I Just Called to Say I Love You,” and so many more.

I dare you not to dance when you hear "Superstition". I remember once when I was standing in line being served at Subway when it came on a couple of years ago. Everyone was dancing. "Lately", it is another suggestion
