I feel Band-Maid's longevity and success will become Endless Stories in the annals of Rock ‘n Roll history! Thx Buck, for the shoutout! BTW - I’m still watching the incredible "BAND-MAID 10TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR SPIN OFF" live-stream concert (on Zaiko). Listen fans and Maidiacs... seriously, if you've ever seen Band-Maid live, you know they play at an extremely high level of performance and execution. And there is no band that I'm aware of playing today, other than The Warning, that has a more extensive catalog of majorly awesome songs. I would place this concert among the top of all Band-Maid concerts for insane playing, setlist, and audio quality, and is even better than Yokohama for an audio experience from video, imo. To put it simply, this concert punches hard and totally worth the few bucks to experience it! When I was watching it, I was thinking about how The Warning, following Band-Maid (I believe) at their June 12, 2-man concert, is going to feel about it! I know I wouldn't want to follow the Maids! However, The Warning has all the earned confidence in the world! 🎀🤘😜🤘🎀 The concert is available to view on archive until 2024/05/28 (bandmaid.tokyo/contents/742715)

Song is one of my favorites. They’ve used this song to close out their shows several times. It’s such a perfect “until we meet again” song.

To me, Saiki is much more than just a vocalist. She’s an amazing actress; a performer, a communicator. She changes the language barrier into a bridge…where anyone can hear her sing and know exactly what she means ❤

It’s helpful to know that this was the final show of their 10 year anniversary tour. Though they’ve been ending their shows with this song since the US tour in 2022 this show was extra special… and you can feel it. The show was also streamed live around the world so I, and madiacs like me all over, were part of the crowd that night and got to hear and feel the heartfelt words from Saiki during this song. It was spectacular!

Buckeye Creeker, I hope Tom asked you to react to "Wonderland". It's a mid-tempo, almost jazz-like song, that showcases MISA's intuitive brilliance on bass and Saiki's beautiful voice and vocal range. The Maid's can take any genre and make it their own, to the point where we Maidiacs simply call it Band-Maid Music. They are one of the most creatively talented and technical bands I have encountered in my 75 years on this earth. The more you listen to their music, the more you will fall in love these sweet, humble, kind and immensely talented young Japanese women and their music.

This was the final song (#33) of their biggest concert to date. It was the final show of their 10th anniversary tour. That's why Saiki, the lead singer' and the rest were so emotional at the end. They were almost dropped by their label at the beginning, so making it to the decade mark was a huge deal.

You see, this is a big show. But you know? They should be more bigger. They were about to make their way to BUDOKAN, one of the largest stage of Japan but the show was cancelled due to the pandemic. They are starting to earn their success but yet they are still one of the underrated band.

There's a LOT of great music coming from all around the world, but IMO, Japan and S Korea are currently leading the way. Yes, there does seem to be a lot of female artists coming through, or building their awareness - don't know if that's down to numbers, their skill levels, or my bias towards the visuals (I'm male) 👍😎😈 One of the relatively few "male" groups is "Stray Kids" - you might like to check them out sometime, too, if you haven't already done so.

I think there are two types of singers, those who sing at the audience and those who sing to the audience, Saiki is the latter. Her early upbringing of singing to her mother gives her that ability to put so much feeling and passion into her performances. But that's just my thoughts what are yours?

With BAND-MAID it's not a Rabbit Hole, it's a Pigeon Hole. Because Miku's last name means Little Pigeon. Also she's the incarnation of a pigeon hundreds of years old. That's why her Signature Zemaitus Guitar is called The Flappy Pigeon. So, just like BabyMetal have the Fox Hole, BAND-MAID have The Pigeon Hole, but don't pigeon hole these Genre Jumping Maids. And this song was the last song from the last show of their 10th Anniversary Tour, so they have well over 100 songs and counting to check out. The more you get into them it's like peeling an onion. So check out the Rockers and Soft stuff, the anime theme songs and their anime OMV, their April Fool's Day jokes and the Orenji documentary videos. And welcome newly minted Maidiac!
