Seeing this play on the tv for weeks and weeks at number 1 in 1980 is a core memory of mine. The whole family was spellbound .i love Blondie, especially the album 'Parallel Lines'.

Blondie is an American rock & new wave band co-founded by singer Debbie Harry & guitarist Chris Stein. Blondie had 4 number 1 songs in the US and 6 in the UK. There were the most successful new wave band of their time and Debbie Harry was the most photographed rock star in the world. "Atomic" is another dance jam but has a more techno feel. "Call Me" a dance/rock masterpiece. "Rapture" is the first song with rap to hit number 1 in the US. The "Tide Is High" is a reggae/calypso hit of their. "One Way or Another" is one of the most iconic stalker themes ever. Listen to "Dreaming" for Clem Burke's drumming!

"Dreaming" is my favorite Blondie song. "Rapture" was a groundbreaking song, the first rap song to chart #1 on Billboard. "One Way or Another" & "Call Me" are great songs too, theres many more!

Blondie song "Rapture" in 1981 was the first rap song to top the US charts even though rap had been around for a while! I personally like "Call Me" and "One Way or Another"! I love hearing younger generations listening to songs of my generation! No auto tune!
