The BTS members who performed on "Stay" - Jungkook, Jin and RM - wrote the lyrics between them. The song was originally intended to be the last track on Jung Kook's mixtape with entirely English words. When they recorded it instead for Be, they partially changed it to Korean but kept the original title.

Another Jin and Jungkook collab is with Suga. So Far Away. I think there is only a lyric video for this but I also think they did a LIVE performance with all 4 vocalists.

I’m crying watching this coz I miss them so much.. I have to be content and say I’m still blessed to have seen them both in LA & Vegas ! They are amazing and their concert is always a party .. it’s EPIC ! I can’t wait to see Yoongi soon !

I like Stay. I think JK and Jin’s vocals are beautiful and I like they rhythm of Namjoon’s rap. I think it’s such a happy upbeat song. It makes complete sense that it was on the BE album towards the end of it, to cheer people up during Covid. Btw due to your thumbnail I thought it was the other performance of Stay in Las Vegas Day 4, that Tae and JK and then Tae and Jin sang the beginning together of. Tae has sang the song twice as far as I can remember. That version is fun too. Stay actually has a pretty interesting history. JK is the primary songwriter for it but final the final version was different to the original one. And the final version has contributions from Namjoon and Jin according to the songwriting credits on Wiki. Based on what JK said in his weverse magazine interview (Nov 27 2020) he said ‘That song was originally meant to be on my mixtape. We planned a different song on the album but after V heard it (Stay) he said: ‘This song that Jungkook wrote is really good’ and then the other members all listened, and said it was better than the other one, and somehow Stay made it into the album.’ (The other one here refers to the song that was originally going to be on the BE album.) They also talked about it during the ‘Life Goes on’ comeback special in vlive and again said it was Tae who got the company and members to listen to the song. In the BE album Be:Hind full story interviews where Jungkook is interviewed by J-Hope, Hobi talks about how it’s interesting that the song changed from a different song into your song. and it had a fateful meeting with the BE album, thanks to the members. What’s interesting is that in another performance during day 3 of ‘Permission to Dance’ in Seoul just before Tae started singing it, he said ‘this is a song I made.’ Which JK said ‘ah right’ to. Jin then asked for confirmation, which Tae repeated and then JK encouraged Tae to sing it. So who knows what the full story of the song is. I’m sure that for whatever reason they are vague about some of the songs etc it is for a good reason. I always hope that eventually we get a documentary that details all the songs and info about each one. Cause I love the songwriting, producing aspects a lot etc. I also personally wonder if the reason the mixtapes of JK and Tae didn’t come out over the years despite them talking about it for years with the process almost completed for both was if they were each not allowed to release the music they wanted to on their own terms. I for example remember Tae talking about not being allowed to release his Christmas song sang in a certain way before etc. Both Tae and JK also talked about songs they had created together on their joint live with Jimin. and wanting to release them etc. I hope that all them members albums turn out exactly as each one wants. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I liked your reaction, but I think you have to see the complete performance of Stay, at the Permission To Dance On Stage concerts they never presented it complete, but they did present it complete at the Sowoozo 6th Muster concerts.

Stay is great, and I'd recommend watching every single live of So What you can find, even if it's just in your own time. They're all absolutely fantastic and it never gets old. 😄 BTS and Army energy is off the charts. Pure feel good.

I got to join the PTD concert in Las Vegas on line. You are right this part was so energized even watching on line in my son's camper trailer we were bouncing and rocking it. It was so awesome to see them do this live. Stay is off of BE which was inspired and put out during the pandemic.

Stay was a song originally for Jungkook s mixtape and all in English. I-wish we had the demo. RM chose Stay for his subunit song on proof cd2. I loved that. I heard stay in sowoozoo concert and fell in ,love. Your eyes tell also was for jk solo initially. Jamais vu !!! Is jin jk hobi song, gorgeous.

Thank you for this reaction, John. This song is another one of those they released during the pandemic; written by JungKook, RM, Jin and Arston. I love its upbeat melody and how well JK, Jin and RM sang it. And we get the live performance of So What as a bonus! Don't you just love those smoke guns? This is usually the part of the concert where the members spray the crowd with water A LOT! They performed the whole song of Stay at the Muster Sowoozoo - they also performed So What and it was a real cracker.

Somewhere there is a video of JK, Jin and J-Hope reviewing the Be album, I think, and Jungkook says that he wants to point out some lyrics to Jin from Stay - that no matter where he is, Jungkook will be with him. I think they already knew about Jin enlisting in the military as soon as pandemic was over and their group activities were done, but we didn't know that at the time. I love both of these songs. In some of the live performances I just have to call JK, Rocker JK, because he really goes off sometimes on that one. lol

I like the song but how hard they work to get closer if only for a moment to fans in the back because they want all Army to enjoy things touches me. The way even a more mellow song like this has them inning hyped up. Such playful energy on stage do many ridiculous toys like the confetti and smoke guns.
