Welcome to the Dreamworld! Dreamcatcher are very unique. They are the dark angels of Kpop and the only girl group who consistently incorporate Rock and Metal in their title tracks, fusing that with Kpop into something that basically is a new genre. They also are drenched in horror and social criticism, which again is special. Plus, they are massively talented, all of them. And while the girls look like they could rip out your spine when they are on stage, off stage they are adorable crackheads. 😉 Yes, Boca means "mouth" in Spanish and Portuguese and is part 2 of the Dystopia trilogy, which deals with bullying and hate comments, in particular the online variant ("A trick behind a mask, a ridiculous freak" from Scream). Boca has the lines "Why do you fill your precious time with hate" and "Too many angels dying now", which points to the effects those comments can have. Several Kpop idols have committed suicide in recent years, most likely because of cyber-bullying, but this is also about all the unnamed people who suffer from online bullies. A girlgroup tackling such a subject impresses the hell out of me. They literally go to war in this video and tell haters to go and shut their "Boca" in the lyrics. And the song is absolutely awesome! Who said you can't have three different musical genres in one song?

Electric guitar and piano are Dreamcatcher's signature sounds. If you listen to Dejavu you know for sure. Dreamcatcher has a lot of good songs, so you'll get a lot of recommendations. All the recommendations are definitely worth listening to. In particular, Dreamcatcher's 1st regular album Tree of Language is a masterpiece.

it is actually nice when you actually include your searching for information in the video instead of asking viewers directly (if you ask after searching for info it shud be fine). it made the video really honest. Yes, Handong was tucked in CHina because of the pandemic, but the real reason was she chose to go back to join survival singing competition. after she was eliminated, then she was tucked. They are live singers. with hard choreo, fast beat, they still sing live. they are performers. they will sound out of breath, but they don't let that stop them from singing with their voices. as this is your first time with them, your reaction is understandable. but you will learn that, they are super talented. They re consistent with real instrumentals. they do have all genre in their collection esp in their b-side songs. but surely you will notice they have it consistently. good work. looking forward to your next DC content.

10:56 Depends on the song, any specific member will shine. My first song was boca like 2 years ago, and i got impressed by Dami/Siyeon. After a deep dive (all albuns/songs and alot of other contents), i can say, it's really hard to choose favorites here. Even my favorite tracks are always changing. They use backing tracks as any other group, but their mics are always on in live performances (unless its a dance video). But a proof of live sings is this version of "You and I" kzbin.info/www/bejne/nJnNlmuvrLp1fJo Thei use only 1 mic for the 7 members, and sometimes who picks the mic start their part delayed, so u can hear the backing track is just the instruments for audio reference/harmonization, not the recorded lead vocals.

Boca is the second part of a trilogy about cyber bullying and hate comments. The first part is Scream and the 3rd is Odd eye. I really love the guitar and that's why i love this girls. The bias voting is real lol. This group feels more like one unit than most groups I've come across and it's hard to choose a favorite the more you get into their music and other content. Credit to their company for letting the girls shine. For example, their latest album (released in April) each member got a full solo track. All of this for a 7 member gg going on 5+ years is pretty impressive imo.

Their title tracks always hit hard in some was or another (rock/metal/EDM influecnces), but their bsides cover literally every other genre and genre combination that you can imagine. even some that shouldnt work but somehow do. because many people will allready recommend the title tracks i am going to name a few bsides i really like. As an Insomnia I feel like I have heard ad nauseam that rock isn't popular in South Korea and that the DREAMCATCHER Rock/Metal sound can be off-putting without any real explanation as to why. Grew up on Industrial Metal as my favorite genre so was couldn't relate on a personal level, stuck just objectively categorizing those claims as cultural/taste difference without real understanding. Watching this reaction gave me the first real glimpse into how a Korean Kpop fan reacts to hearing Dreamcatcher for the first time. "Feel like I just got slapped in the head" - KAM Reacts 😂 From watching previous reactions. KAM Reacts=(Korean-American) prefers to read English (at least reads it faster than Korean). Has a background singing rock and some affinity and appreciation/selectivity for rock sounds in music. Had those details in mind when clicking on this vid and had assumed that the KAM Reacts first reaction to Dreamcatcher wouldn't be so jarring. Especially because there were rock sounds included in some reactions to previous vids. Rock sound surging a bit in the era of Fourth Gen with even Twice dabbling a bit. The fact that it was so unsettling even with those inoculating factors gives me a bit of a window into how the Korean general public or even Kpop stan crowd might have actually responded to DREAMCATCHER. Puts their body of work in Korea in a bit of a different light. THANKS for the reaction and for explaining your perspective on it. well, Dreamcatcher have a huge influence from jrock. And jrock is usually anime opening style of music. But I must say Boca is not really one of "anime style" their songs. Some other songs are more like anime. For example their song New Days
