Wonderful reaction to one of my favourite artists. Saw Eivor in Bristol a couple of months ago and urge everyone who likes her to watch her live if you can. You will not be disappointed. This song at this venue was my first introduction to Eivor, followed by Falling Free at Torshavn and then I was hooked.

I’ve always loved this particular video because of the venue. I have a bucket list of natural concert locations.
@soleywolfgangsdottirАй бұрын
i'm not sure if that is a regular concert venue. it's a farm, nothing more, nothing less. they needed to transport everything up there by foot from a boat.

@ most of my list is an in spirit kind of vibe as in “ that’s a really cool place “

As a comparison to this (and also quiet the complete opposite) you should check out her perfomance of this song with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra! It was the first video I ever saw of her and I was hooked. Also, if you ever have the chance to see her live, do yourself a favor and do so. She's even more magical in person! Anyway, thank you for reacting to Eivør :'D

The rhythm was genious. You could like Mari Boine, who mixes traditional singing with modern instruments. Your profile is fabulous, got to see it properly for the first time. You are so pretty :) Take care ♥

Hello, dear Jessie ! First of all let me thank you from the bóttom of my heart for taking my special request and reacting to it, although I am not a patreon. Did I promise too much ? Isn't she magical ? And your reaction was EVERYTHING I could have wished for. You were so much into the music. I loved watching you moving your body to it and just going with the flow. Yes, this performance hadf something magical and enchanting. And that's what "Trodlabundin" actually means. It translates to "Spellbound" ! Your thoughts about this song, along with your description of your feelings were so wonderful andn true. You really understand the universal language of music. I was mesmerized watching this reaction video, just as you were during this performance. And yes, please react to more from Eivor, she has so much more to offer ! Next one should definitely be "Gullspunnin Live on KVF!, also sung in Faroese, this time with her band and a women's choir in the back. One of my favourite performances from Eivor ! I saw her in Cologne on October 5, exactly 4 weeks ago, and it was simply magical ! If you have the chance to see her live, go and see her, you won't be disappointed. She is just wonderful, not only as a musician but also as a person. So once again thank you so, so much for this wonderful reaction video. Hope to see you react to more fron Eivor... Best wishes from Germany : Gerry

For more recommend, "Gullspunnin" live on KVF (Faroese TV), "True Love" video or live, "Livstraedrir" (life threads) live featuring composer John Lunn. She and Lunn did the music for the TV series The Last kingdom which is where the song is from. The official video for a cover of Kate Bush's "Hounds of Love" is worth a watch and listen.

When I first heard that, I immediately thought of Native Americans. Strange, because it's still another 3000km (1864mi) to the American continent (Newfoundland and Labrador) with only ocean in between. Unless you take a break in Iceland and Greenland. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Greetings from the Black Forest.
