After Forever was Floor’s first band, which she joined as a teenager in the mid-1990s. They toured Europe as Nightwish’s opening act at one point, and disbanded in 2009. This song/video was from their last album, released in 2007. Floor was a well-known singer long before she joined Nightwish.

An older song from her first band After Forever. I love it. It would be such a fabulous radio song. I think she re-released it as a holiday gift,but also to legally protect the song. It is prominently in he solo shows.

Welcome to the wonderful pre Nightwish Floor Jansen my good sir !!!!! Her First band After Forever (1997-2009) is packed with awesome and epic songs ! Then, comes the second band ReVamp (2009-2016). Also there is Northward (2018)....And All other Projects (Star One, Ayreon, Solo, etc,etc...) PS: I am also a proud owner of all these pre Nightwish albums ! NWSU/FloorFan 🤘😎🤘

Now you can understand why Nightwish called her (on her sister's wedding Day ) to come to the US and learn the set in 48 hours to join the band while Anette went to the hospital and could not go on on tour anymore. Btw. as Eric Clark from The Wild Side (Nashville) said; only Floor can sing the music he composes and writes. And Tuomas from Nightwish must have said; after Floor has gone there will be no more Nightwish. This is not nothing is it? Greetings from The Netherlands and carry on Floor with After Forever and Revamp and Northward.

After forever startet 1996 doing death/gothic metal. Floor started at age of 16 ( 1997) as backing singer. 1 year later beeing the main singer together with the growling male singers. The first record she recorded at age of 18 without having any singing lesson! In the beginning more gothic and symphonic metal. Last 2 albums more ProgMetal and a bit of industrial style. The last record named After Forever included every style they've done and 2 more " mainstream" songs Energize me and Equally destructive. In 2008 they had a sabbatical and Floor wrote the Northward album with Jorn Viggo ( released and recorded 2017/2018). In 2009 After forever officialy stopped and left Floor utterly wiped out.
