Yes, you saw correctly. It's a pun, double meaning. "My sweet suffering" also means "my sweet sub-France" In reference to popular France, small people, invisible people. This song is a satire, which speaks of different problems of society, in a poetic way. It is also a love letter to this country, basically.

A lot of American movies I have seen about france kind of displays it as a romantic place on a sunny day with the effiel tower in the background or something. But this completely threw it out the window once the shots became kind of grey and the clouds above Paris gave this vibe that matched her emotions. It's crazy

Key differences between Indila's version and Diana's : 1. Indila is the creator and and the first performer of that song, that shall never change, therefore she always deserves most of the credit. We can just compare the vocals. 2. Voice : Indila's voice is soft and nice. Diana's voice is deep and unique. 3. "Et je m'envole, vole, vole, vole,....." section : Diana stabs the last "Vole" DEEP into our hearts. 4. Diana is much more expressive on lines "J'ai beau trimer / Sans toi ma vie n'est qu'un décor qui brille, vide de sens" 5. The shamanic stuff as an intro and just after the last "Et je danse, danse, danse,..." section : Diana just kills it. 6. Final head voice by Diana, a nice touch. I would just like to see Indila's own reaction to her songs cover.
@rolandesaliege3707 Жыл бұрын

Indila has 3 "must see" videos: " Parle a ta tete" , "derniere danse" and "love story" At the end of " Parle a ta tete" we see a door and a job advertisement. At the beginning of " derniere danse" we see the same door, and indila kicked out of her job. At the end of " derniere danse" a piece of paper ( or a picture) is blowing in the wind. At the beginning of " Love story" , the piece of paper landed onto the desk of a child.....
