"Hallowed be thy name" is my all time favourite song.I love it so much ,this is the song I want to be buried with, in case I don't get cremated. I plan to tell my family that, when I'm gone, play Maiden songs in my room at least for an hour every day,in case my soul is still around for a while, not to mention the Day of the dead memorial. I've been a Maiden fan since I was 13 in '81, and I'm sure I will still be a fan in the life after death. Glad to see you loved the song and the band, too.🖤🤘😇.

The first 8 or so albums, from their first in 1978, through the 80's and into the beginning 90's, are some of the best Metal albums of all time. Despite getting very little radio airplay they have a huge catalogue of absolute masterpieces.

I'm impressed with the amount of care you put into your reaction, and the amount of thought you put into the experience, whether it's the music, the lyrics, or the presentation of the band members. Subbing in hopes it helps your young channel grow. Also- as others have said, don't be afraid to give your thoughts and philosophies on what you're hearing. You might get a few people trolling you, but most of us appreciate the perspective, and it's why we're watching. Too many reactors watch a song, say, "That was cool," and then sign off. But as you get more into this genre, you'll discover that there's a great deal of concept, artistry, and talent behind a lot of metal and progressive music. It may not be what you're accustomed to, but beginning with band like Maiden and Nightwish can lead you down a beautiful rabbit hole of stuff you never thought you would enjoy.

@@AmarissNevae As you've already seen, there's tons of great music across many genres. More 80's rock, more 70's rock (try out Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin). I don't want to influence your journey too much, but if you're looking for some "metal" stuff that'll make good reaction content for the channel, consider the following: "Pisces (Live Sesson)" by a band called Jinjer. People literally surf around KZbin looking for reactions to this song. I won't spoil it, but go in blind. For more Nighwish, "Ghost Love score, Live in Wacken 2013" is one of the most reacted-to videos on the platform, and a good introduction to Floor Jansen. "Romanticide" from the same show is also a good watch. Devin Townsend is a genius and a great performer, always full of surprises. Try "Kingdom" (the EMGtv version) and "Deadhead (Live at the Royal Albert Hall.)" Epica- "Consign to Oblivion- Live at the Zenith (OFFICIAL VIDEO)" is a great performance that shows a heavy and aggressive band with loveable chemistry onstage. They mix harsh growling vocals with angelic classical female sounds. For something more rock/prog, react to anything by Rush, Dream Theater, or Yes. Fans will come. For Rush, probably start with "Tom Sawyer", "Limelight," Subdivisions," and a live version of "YYZ." Then move to the epic track "2112." If you like all of that, you'll be hooked. If you want some links to the vids, let me know.
@AmarissNevae2 ай бұрын
I appreciate all of these.✨️ "Pisces" sounds cool and earthly. I looked at their photo just now. The front woman is super pretty. I also looked at Epica. The front woman looks how you describe her vocals as angelic. I definitely need to do Nightwish with Floor Jansen. It is so apparent that many love her. I definitely would love to react to all genres of rock/metal. Rock has so many categories. I'll write these down in my notebook. There are so many artist(s) that I've never heard of. Sometimes links get blocked, and I don't see them. Sometimes, they appear, but I've had some comments with links disappear without my doing so. Thank you for all of these. ✨️✨️✨️📒✏️✨️✨️✨️

Some facts about Iron Maiden: 1. Steve Harris (bass) formed Iron Maiden in 1975 w/ friends because he was writing songs that he wanted to play in the London bars... his previous bands found his songs 'complicated' because Harris was writing music w/ time changes and intricate arrangements. 2. Iron Maiden sounded very raw in their early days as members came and went... Dave Murray (guitar) was an integral part who joined permanently in 1977... Early vocalist Paul Di'Anno also joined in '77 and he was like a punk rock singer, which gave Iron Maiden their early appeal w/ UK punk rock fans. Early songs like 'Sanctuary'... 'Wrathchild'... 'Prowler'... defined their early sound. 3. Bruce Dickinson (vocals) had seen Iron Maiden live around 1979 when he was the singer of another heavy metal band Samson... He wanted singer Paul Di'Anno's job early on. 2 years later in 1981, Paul Di'Anno parted ways w/ Iron Maiden after 2 albums and Bruce Dickinson was picked as his replacement... His vocals went through a transformation working in the studio w/ Maiden's producer Martin Birch. 4. Guitarists Dave Murray and Adrian Smith grew up together and started playing guitars around the same time as teens... They played in a local band called Evil Ways where Steve Harris saw Dave Murray perform live in 1976 and wanted him to join Iron Maiden... Adrian Smith formed the band Urchin and declined to join Iron Maiden at the time. But in 1980, Urchin was failing & Adrian Smith finally agreed to join Iron Maiden for their 2nd album. 5. Clive Burr (drums) played on Iron Maiden's early albums but was fired in 1983... Nicko McBrain (drums) replaced him and has been their drummer since... Clive Burr was later diagnosed w/ MS and he passed away in 2013. 6. Janick Gers (guitar) replaced Adrian Smith in 1990... Bruce Dickinson also quit the band for a few years in 1993 (Iron Maiden recorded 2 albums w/ singer Blaze Bayley)... They reunited w/ Bruce Dickinson and Adrian Smith in 1999 and made Iron Maiden a 3-guitar band til today. 7. Iron Maiden currently has 17 studio albums... their first being 'Iron Maiden' in 1980... their latest being 'Senjutsu' in 2021 and they are currently on tour.

Incidentally, during that live performance, Brittney had, as a backup singer, Floor Jansen's sister Irene. As a whole, Arjen Lucassen, the genius behind Ayereon and Star-One, essentially brings metal singers and musicians from all over the metal scene and industry to take part in what I would call "The All-Stars of Metal." This was a time when music was still real , it had a meaning and depth , with lyrics that you can switch off and go on a journey with , was played well live with actual instruments and genuine non auto tuned talent , constructed for the fans to involve the fans , not just the revenue . They are still going on strong today selling out arena's and Still in it for the fans , if you look at their later stuff you will see it in their energy and joy on stage , this makes them respected with a fan base of all ages , and timeless . Singer is Bruce Dickinson. Drummer is Nicko McBrain. Later years since this video, Iron Maiden added another guitarist, and his name is Janick Gers. These guitarists shared leads on solos for each song. Until recently, Bruce was licensed airline pilot who flew big airliners such as 747's or 757's for the band's long world tours. @@AmarissNevae I Hope you Can Also. They are Winding down their Career... I believe they will be playing in the States soon... Bruce's voice is becoming Strained...too hard to describe how many shows they have done.. it takes a toll.. I think Bruce's best Voice in career was in 1992.. it was VICIOUS.. Recommend a live performance from 1992. For Sure..1985 Powerslave Tour was their Most Shows. 189 shows in 1 year.... AMAZING... Hey Amariss, great reaction to an awesome band. As a musician, I notice that sometimes you name the type of instruments of some of the band members. I wonder if you play music or just like doing your research? Keep up the great work and all the best! ❤

Hello Tim, I am currently not a musician. After hearing many of these songs, I would love to learn. I think I would do great at the drums 🥁. It seems like I'd remember that more easily than strings. • World's No.1 Heavy Metal Band is Iron Maiden • World's No.1 Symphonic Metal Band is Nightwish Btw this is one of my most favourite song from Iron Maiden. In this song first solo played by Dave Murray & second Adrian Smith. Bassist, Founder & Their Primary Songwriter - Steve Harris (He is world's no.1 heavy metal bassist. Just google it you'll get your answer) Vocalist - Bruce Dickinson (A man with many talents. You can read his bio) Drummer - Clive Burr (His drumming style is very unique, smooth & also fast) No doubt every members of band is very very talented & energetic. 🔥 "If you want know more about this band try to read their bio." Thank you for your great reaction. This was well researched, articulate and respectful. An iron maiden is a medieval torture device. It's like a human-shaped casket with large spikes inside it. Once you're in and they close the door, you'll be impaled by dozens of longs, sharp spikes and you'll be left to bleed to death, slowly. 😕 It was reserved for the most serious of crimes. Many Iron Maiden songs are inspired by classical literature or historical events, such as wars. Other Maiden classics you could check out are Run to the Hills (from the same album as "Hallowed"), The Trooper, The Rime of the Ancient Mariner (inspired by the poem of the same name), Fear of the Dark, Paschendaele, Dance of Death.... That should keep you going and... Up the Irons!!! By the way, you look great
@AmarissNevae2 ай бұрын
You are welcome! ✨️ I am impressed with this torture device, and I'm sure that with such an invention in existence, the crime rate would be quite low. It's such a pronounced title for a band: IRON MAIDEN! Thank you for these wonderful recommendations 🎼 and for the compliments! 🎼🎧✨️🎧🎼

Up the Irons! Nice reaction, and a particularly nice touch pointing out the Ibanez Destroyers. A couple of lawsuit targets right there. Gibson saw to it that you couldn't get those new anymore (for quite a while now). I mean, I kind of get it, with the design similarities to the Explorer, but then again it's not like they just went and made the exact same guitar. What you might not realize is that Iron Maiden's mascot is also known to have been an excellent student. Ed of his class, he was.
@AmarissNevae2 ай бұрын

I love maiden, you did a really good job analysing it, musically and lyrically. I feel you do right pausing. If you know the song why listening it another time without analysis? If you don't know the song pausing invite you to listen the complete song first/after. I like the embelishments you did put in the reaction, bell, sand, soul etc. It makes your channel original, never seen anywhere else (in music reaction channels)

according to what i have read, including their bio of the 3 great metal voices, bruce dickinson, ronnie james dio and rog halford, none ever studied voice. ronnie played trumpet as a kid and credited that, bruce nothing and in fact was not allowed to join choir as a kid due to voice. but he had a girlfriend who had studied voice and read her notebooks and later went to the library and read books.. yes bruce jokes about the pic of them in spandex, bruce in red. you notice he's a man.
