It's about getting tour dates in America. It's called Achilles last stand because Robert Plant was in a wheelchair when this was recorded. He was in a car wreck in Greece.

The live version from Knebworth 1979 is incredible! Page is on fire!
@sicotshit70685 ай бұрын
Page did 12 guitar overdubs for this song, & still made it sound incredible live, that’s the true genius he is. The one date from Knebworth is better then the other, I can’t remember which one though.

Glen Johns engineered the first Zeppelin album. He pioneered the method named after him to record drums.

One of my top five Zeppelin songs. Heart would hijack the galloping rhythm a year later on the song Barracuda.

Their concerts were 3 to 4 hours long & nonstop, for over 200 concert Bonham had 20 minute drum solos called Moby Dick.

Lol. Starts out slow and then bursts into an all out gallop 20 seconds in. 🐉

Bonham's finest work and there was a LOT of it. Loved JPJ's bass work here too. Achilles was dipped in a river as an infant by his mother that made him invulnerable, except for the heel she held him by. Thus, the Achilles heel.

If you want to see how jimmy page is playing those cords watch the 1979 live version

Plant is always on stage during the guitar solos. You don't seem to be familiar with the fact that Led Zeppelin didn't use formulas to write songs. Page has 30 minute solos at times.

His solos were longer than an entire Sex Pistols concert.

He obviously doesn’t care either, he complains how long it is, yet stops 20 times for stupid comments. I don’t expect him to get many subscribers, he broke the number one rule every time too.

Thanks for the comment. Here's the thing with reaction videos. You CANNOT just let the video run. If you do that, it gets blocked and nobody gets to see it. You have to stop many times, and comment. If you do not, it gets BLOCKED. And the longer the song, the more you have to stop and comment. Sorry if you don't enjoy it, but that the way it has to be. Thanks for watching!

@@B.RyanReactions not true, I’ve seen many others, who didn’t need to stop any LZ songs that many times. I’ve watch a hell of a lot of LZ reaction videos.

No way the video should be stopped at least 20 times! Especially for anecdotal comments about groupies, thrice!

Dude, Zeppelin was playing 4 hour shows.
@zosometalgod2 ай бұрын
Quit pausing the video! You can talk about the transitions after the song is done! And it's not cries of passion it's cries of war going into battle and no Robert plant did not leave the stage when performing this song he is a front man watch the live version! And yes Steve Harris was a big fan of Led Zeppelin and he got the galloping idea from the song the first as he said proto power metal song!
@waynekerr35983 ай бұрын
Why did you have to stop the video to ask if that was the outro?? 🙄
