I was in Bordeaux at that time : one used to say that these 3 guys were students in a business school and their final thesis was about how to earn money with a pop song. So, to illustrate their work, they did a song ... and it worked more than expected. In a way it's a serious experiment with unexpected consequences!

You know, one of my favorite memories ever comes from this song. Me, my classmates and older people from the same school were coming back from a trip, it was running late, maybe 10pm, and we were all very tired. Anyways, someone brought his speaker so we could listen to whatever everyone asked him to play. At the end of the trip, it was almost pitch black and this song came. Some like me didn't know all the words, but everyone had heard about it and could vibe to it. So those who really liked it began to sing really loud and well, and we were quick to follow. I learned the entire song on this occasion and had a blast in that great moment where nearly everyone in the bus came together to sing this, and even though its plot is still vague and nonexistent and everything, it will always be one of my favorite songs ever.

Derrick, it's always such a pleasure to live your reactions!!! You nail it once again!! This song is just awesome sonically speaking, the arrangements are just so catchy and entertaining! However, as much as the lyrics may sound cheesy, it s hasn't been fully translated properly. Second point is that it totally reflects what probably happened to many of us on some days on a nigh that we were single and felt like meeting somebody interesting, or even better, when we meet that person. In my case, at a summer fair, I was single and totally not looking for anyone, just enjoying with my friends. Then I meet those brown eyes, literally stole very gently a kiss from here and I went away. Then I realized my mistake for leaving and went back, trying to find her! Then guess what song played at the fair, while I looked for her quite desperately!! That song! And all those words were just exactly describing my feelings! I very funnily accountered with her 2 weeks later in another town (same region), talked to her, exchanged numbers, but then that was it as she was leaving to study much further away. :)When I hear that song all my body reacts and vibrates!!lolol. Thank you!

It's a song about looking for a good hookup. They described the kind of girl they are looking for. The correct translation would be an "unchained, open-minded and experienced partner". Partenaire particulier is a euphemism for sexual partner. The lyrics are direct but the tone is light. It's like boys dreaming about girls, fantasizing openly about them.
