Yep, Mr. David Phelps himself wrote this song. He plays a mean piano too……and he’s a genuinely nice guy! (And funny). He can pretty much do it all. I’ve been following him for years, since my first Gaither Homecomimg concert…..sitting on the 5th row in front of him. He absolutely blew me away. He’s very humble as well.

We did this for a Christmas program at church a few years ago. Goosebumps every time I hear it. I have to keep reminding myself He is on the throne. Just found out my 45 yr old husband will probably have to have a heart transplant and we are a little stunned. Keeping a firm grip on my faith but it's a struggle. Guess I don't have to now. lol This song NEVER fails to hit me in the feels every time I hear it. The concert that the video was recorded at was at Carnegie Hall in NYC not long after 9/11. Yes sir, this was the completion of the beggining of GOD'S PLAN for us. From Genisis One, One (In the Beggining, was the Word, and the Word was with GOD, and the Word Was God, and He Spoke the Worlds into Existance. What a powerful Statement. Yet while this was going on, HE already had made a PLAN, because HE knew what would take place. HE knew that Satan, whom GOD had expelled from Heaven would intercede and wreck HIS PLAN for Creating Mankind in HIS own image in a Utipia where HE could commune with HIM. SO HIS PLAN included an eventual way to provide for the Redemption of the Fall of Mankind that Satan was able to bring about. That Plan for Redemption was completed by Christ's Cruxifiction and Resurection. That is why it is know as the End of the Begining. Since the Fall, Mankind was born into sin and was doomed to exist without the possibility of communing with GOD THE FATHER. Now that the Beginning was Completed, there was Life with the possibility of Redemption and the eventual Commune with God in Heaven. The Key is Christ's Redemptive Sacrifice for Our Sin, on the Cross and His Ressurection from the tomb and Assention "back" into Heaven to prepare a place for us. Only GOD ALMIGHTY could have Created all this and a Plan for the Separation of Hell from the New Earth and Heaven where our "Faith" will be Rewarded. It isn't Knowledge or Wisdom that will be Rewarded, but "FAITH"! We need to seek Jesus the Christ by FAITH, not by knowledge or proof. We are so inferior to God that we must accept what He did for us as a Free Gift, not as something we can achieve through our own capacity for knowledge and wisdom. It takes more than the power of our knowledge to receive the Free Gift of Salvation. It takes "FAITH". That is all He requires. Childlike "FAITH" AMEN AND AMEN

I don't pretend to understand how God will redeem his chosen people, the Hebrews or Jews, only that they are the Vine and the Gentiles are grafted into the Vine through Faith in Christ.

My best understanding of why the Jews are God's chosen people and called the Vine is that in order for HIS PLAN of Salvation to work He needed to have a people that would accept many many laws and rules to preserve a degree of purity long enough for His Redemptive Plan to be brought to fruition. He said I Am the Vine and You are the Vinyard. The latter can not survive unless it remains attached to the Vine.

I think I heard this on Brad's channel, though it could have been somewhere else. I don't remember it being as loud though. I'm afraid I'll have to disagree with you, and go by what it says in The Bible, "Work out your own salvation.", "Faith without works is dead, being alone.". And renounce the intentionally misinterpreted "It is not of works, lest any man should boast.", which the whole, the whole book is comparing The Law Of Moses (and the works of it) with The Gospel Of Jesus Christ (and the works of faith, baptism, sacrament, praying, repentance and Sabbath worship) and that's just the milk of the gospel. Even after Christ's death he continued to add advice and guidance. The only reason he would have stopped is if everyone had rejected him and his chosen leaders. But if that happened, as it surly must have, than only a new Noah, Abraham, Moses or Jesus Christ, someone who talks to God directly, to come and restore The Faith. But we don't even have all the words of Jesus Christ that Paul had access to, where he got the quote "It is better to give than to receive.", which is not found in any of The Four Gospels as they are now, if it didn't come from another Gospel or record that no longer exists. I could tell anyone anything, but unless they do the works of studying and praying for answers themselves, that will only ever have a belief and not a relationship with God, for answers come only after faith, which is shown through actions.

In John 3:14-21, and in Revelation 20:11-15, The Lord tells ALL human beings as plain as day the ONLY way to be with HIM for eternity in Heaven😊. BEFORE you die, you EITHER CHOOSE The Lord Jesus Christ, OR you CHOOSE to reject HIM. My OWN mother lay dying and she CHOSE to reject Jesus Christ and she is in the eternal home of her CHOICE:hell. We believers of Jesus Christ, we know the awful pain when our loved ones reject HIM, just as the song by Wendy Bagwell and The Sunliters “The Mother Of Judas” describes.
