great to see you guys discover Dimash. i know the standing ovations feel more natural. at some point of time for formal concerts it was considered more respectful to clap from the seats and the way people showed admiration and had a chance to get closer to their favourite artist was flowers. so yes the flowers are more sign of the love of the people, mind for some just attending may be quite hard to afford.

Eastern Europeans don't go wild like the rest of the world, but they bring flowers. I think I'd rather get the flowers. He was only 22 here. Now he's 30 and even better. He always thanks the audience and the musicians and invites us to come to Kazakhstan.

Welcome to the world of Dimash! Dimash is the greatest vocalist known to mankind! He is proudly from Kazakhstan! He has an 8 octive range, has been known to sing in 13 different languages. He speaks 5 languages and plays 5 different instruments. He was a child prodigy that proclaimed to his parents (which are also singers) he was going to be a singer at the age of 4. He has been training since the age of 5. He has his Associates, Masters, Bachelors, and now his Doctorin in contemporary and Opera music. He is a MASTER in his craft. He has a very loyal following of his fans around the world! He calls his fans his "Dears". I feel so honored to live in the same time as Dimash. All of his performances are astounding!!

Hello! Dimash is great and has come a long way professionally. First, their vocal range and stage presence surprise us. Then his ability to interpret different genres in different languages and above all his way of transmitting feelings, whether happy, majestic or deep. Many say that their world is a rabbit hole!! His vocal range goes from baritone to soprano, perhaps in the beautiful "Stranger" that is very visible. There are so many songs to recommend but you will have to find them yourselves... To complete the idea it is necessary to know that of his 30 years, 25 have been of hard training. He sings opera, rock, folk, pop, ballads. He is a multi-instrumentalist, actor, model, producer... and a good person who promotes peace... You could also see some of his different works like "Samaltau" at the Tokyo International Festival (folk) Smoke MV (something funny) "Angel love" (Hunan TV China) "Lose control" with Chanté Moore "Red moon rules" with Xiaoyoung "I miss you" or "OK" (ballades) "Elim Menim" (folk) ""When I"ve got you" (MV, a short horror movie) and this is just a handful of suggestions... Either way, it's a beautiful path to take! Without further ado, I greet you from Argentina...

Definitely watch more; this is barely the tip of the iceberg that is Dimash! This is just the song that a lot if us fans (called Dears) like to use as an introduction. This is nowhere near the top or bottom of his range and he has only developed his skills in the years since this performance. You should check out "Stranger", "Ave Maria", and "Olimpico" from him. Really you can watch any one of his performances and find something beautiful to love about it. His original songs are amazing and his music bideos are masterful. I even like to throw out a challenge to compare this performance to his breakout performance if the same song on Singer season 5, and also the performance from the digital show. Same song, same artist, three completely unique performances. Have fun on your Dimash journey! Love from Oregon!

Thank you very much for reviewing Dimash's art. You couldn't find a better artist to start any channel. Just so you know that Dimash sings in many genres such as rock, pop, funk, opera, rap, folk music ,so you will find a lot of inspiration for the future videos. Also please check out his music videos, they are something else 😊. On the note to why the audience is still sitting, this is due to the cultural differences. In US people would jump to their feet, but in Eastern Europe it is more common to bring the flowers

Thank you for discovering Dimash and welcome to a beautiful world of music. I'm late😮, I just discovered your channel. Dimash is a 30-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And this in all registers (chest, mixed and head voice up to the whistle register). The transitions from one register to the other are so fluid that they are sometimes not recognized even by vocal coaches or professional singers. His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of hard daily training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads, RnB and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. And at his concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan on September 23, 2022 he sang in 7 languages in one concert! And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 16 or 17 languages so far). He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how. Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country (and he still does). And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 was in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong. He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. You can't compare him to any other singer on this planet. He has so many different music genres and styles. He loves Freddie Mercury, but also Michael Jackson, Lara Fabian, Luciano Pavarotti and Eminem and you can also hear that one or the other has an influence on some of his songs. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄. He sang this song as a guest at the Slavic Bazaar in Belarus 2018. It’s an International Festival of Arts and a contest for young singers, which he won in 2015. SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione. SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time. Please also react to The Singer competition as soon as you can. But please react to Sinful Passion next. And watch the videos from start to finish and you will see how kind and lovely he is. And I always recommend turning on the subtitles, if available. Here he sings in a competition for young musicians, called New Wave in Sochi, Russia. He was there in 2018 as a guest. The thing with the flowers has something to do with respect for the artist. It's a cultural thing. The audience listens to a performance without yelling or screaming that the artist can no longer be heard. No sound may be missing. In return, they then shower Dimash with flowers and gifts. That's the norm there. He then always donates the flowers to hospitals, retirement homes or similar institutions. Russian audiences are more reserved, but that doesn't mean they don't love Dimash. They just don't show it that way. Like I said, it's a cultural thing. The gentleman at the end you see standing and clapping is the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. His and Dimash's collaboration created true masterpieces. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship. If possible, always watch the videos from start to finish. Very often there are interesting things to learn. Either there’s something to laugh about, or he’s talking to his audience. He always thanks his musicians. He is incredibly humble and never acts like a star. When he is praised, he constantly says that it is thanks to his teachers and his parents, who made it all possible for him. He’s just incredible. These last three mentioned songs are mind-blowing and will leave you speechless. I promise. Sinful Passion: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jWqpnXeDeNRrgrc If you like some really great fancam versions then I recommend the one from the Moscow concert: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6mvmaqce6uIh9U Or another one from the Arnau concert: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3uonXp-Z82kq9k They are all a bit different. For later😉 Olimpico: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mpyzhGmqbZmknZY Stranger: kzbin.info/www/bejne/onfWc2h-i9OgiaM Ave Maria: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o32qaZpopNR5iaM I’m glad you discovered Dimash and I hope you continue to react to videos of him. You are just at the beginning and you will discover so many completely different and incredible songs yet if you are willing to continue on this emotional ride. Greetings and love from Germany👋❤️

Btw, the reason they remain seated... this is a question often asked, but it's quite simple actually. What people who grow up with that standard often don't realise is the standing ovation is just a cultural thing. It doesn't happen everywhere. It's not disrespect; they just don't have this custom. They do the whole rushing in flowers thing instead, in those countries.

Here is where I wanted to bring you all … the rabbit hole I fell in earlier this year, Now I believe I am kind of a ¨DQ Dear¨ … DQ calls all his fans ¨My Dear or My Dears¨ … DQ = Dimash Qudaibergen I wanted to share … Dimash Qudaibergen was born in Kazakhstan on may 24th 1994. His father is a Kazakh culture official (and artist as well) and his mother (is or was) an opera singer at the Astana opera … They have 2 younger children who are also musically gifted. Dimash started to attend singing and music schooling at the age of 5yo.. He has a classical formation and was offered a residence at the opera … He refused the honorific job because he wanted to explore different genres and avenues. He started to attend singing competition locally … and you will see why he eventually got to be renown all over Asia … Especially after his first performance of many on the Chinese - Hunan TV singing competition ¨The Singer 2017¨ … I am communicating to you the link to the specific performances of Dimash on that 2017 show. Since I discovered that you are inclined to appreciate music … I am quite sure that if you do not know of this guy … your jaw will drop … On first round of the competition … Dimash gets to sing a composition created through a collaboration by French Michel Berger and Canadian Luc Plamondon … ¨S.O.S. d`un terrien en détresse¨ (you could translate to ¨S.O.S. of an earthling in distress¨) … part of a 1978 Rock Opera production named ¨Starmania¨ … There were several singers of the song through the decades … The first one was Daniel Balavoine followed by Bruno Pelletier in the 1990s and in 2005 Grégory Lemarchal got to take it for another ride which was found on You Tube platform by Dimash in the early 2010. Dimash did not speak French … but he did undertake the composition in it`s original version. And performed it at different singing competition through asia. This is the explanation of the crowd reaction to Dimash presentation on the 1st round of the live performance … I red that the following morning of the first round of the Chinese ¨The Singer 2017¨… Dimash`s fandom grew by the tens of millions. The link is of only the Dimash performances on that competition. You will see some of the other competitors who are in rooms backstage … But I did not provide you with the complete ¨The Singer 2017¨ video which probably last a few hours. I believe the competition lasted close to 10 days. Guys! I hope you will convincingly become part of the huge mass of human beings who are becoming Dimash Qudaibergenov`s fans who he calls ¨My Dears¨. Enjoy the results of lots of hard work, lots of talents mixed with good genetic. Full version with all the performances of DQ on kzbin.info/www/bejne/f6fGfqGflJyXbs0 SOS kzbin.info/www/bejne/gHbdYqR9iJWHZ7M If you want … take a few minutes to have a better idea of the exceptional human being Dimash Qudaibergen is. When he hit The World`s Bests TV show with his talent … you can view all the épisodes of that TV show right before he did this … kzbin.info/www/bejne/boqappR4Zqp3rJI

What a fantastic reaction guys! It was my first time seeing you and you chose my favourite artist to react to. You were obviously as blown away by Dimash as I was on first listen. I have liked and subbed in the hope of seeing more Dimash. This is a rabbithole you will never regret going down. Every single song is special and he always surprises us. This is the tip of a huge iceberg. Buckle up and enjoy the ride! Slavic Bazaar (held in Belarus), allowed him to compete in a big singing competition in 2015 and he won it, and it was this that helped him to really start his public career and get him known enough to perform in other countries. It lead to him being invited to take part in the show I Am Singer (aka The Singer) in China, a prestigious TV competition held over 14 weeks that is only for singing professionals who are already known to the public. He was a complete unknown to the Chinese audience and was invited as a wild card to spice up the show. Nobody knew what he could do. In Episode 1 he came out first, before all the other artists, and sang this song impeccably. The audience and the other competitors were in complete shock (see link below for this performance - do watch it, it is superb). After the episode was aired on Chinese TV he gained 600 million fans overnight and had to have bodyguards when he went out of the hotel the next day. Slavic Bazaar was a huge stepping stone for him and probably played a big part in getting to China, competing there and afterwards working there for another 2 years doing all sorts of shows and performances, including modelling, advertising, game shows and even a short film. Through this he became more widely known in Asia and afterwards worldwide. So at the end of the 2018 Slavic Bazaar performance that you have just watched, he thanks them for the opportunity it gave him, for the honour to sing for them again as a guest, and for being so important to his career. Then he welcomes everyone to come to Kazakhstan, to visit his beautiful country. Link to Chinese show Dimash SOS 2017 with documentary background and english subtitles: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mHW7ZHmeot6Bl8Usi=He4FG_aTzYXkp3-l Afterwards you can either work your way through his 2017 performances on I Am Singer (my personal favourites are Adagio, The Show Must Go On and Opera 2), you can watch Sinful Passion at New Wave in 2018, and then hop forward in time to Stranger (New Wave), Ave Maria (New Wave) and Olympico (the one with the ring of lights from Igor Krutoy's channel) all of which were composed for Dimash by the multimillionaire Russian composer Igor Krutoy. Enjoy this amazing singer. He is truly life changing ❤❤❤

Welcome to the best 🐇 🕳 ever‼️ 🆘 The song itself is from Starmania a Canadian-French cyberpunk rock opera written in 1976. 👼🏻 Gregory Lemarchal was a young French singer who was the inspiration for DIMASH to sing 🆘 “SOS d'un terrien en detresse" Diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at a young age, Gregory defined all odds and won the fourth series of the singing contest Star Academy. He became an overnight sensation in France and went on to have a successful career. He was known for "La voix d'un ange"- the voice of an angel. Gregory succumbed to his illness at the age of “23💔” This video is a tribute to his memory. 🥺😢😭💔❤️‍🩹❤️ So that there in no confusion as too “WHY DIMASH” sings this song. Below the excuse that the reason people didn’t stand or applause loudly because they were used to his beauty is crap. We in the west and other parts of the world are used to beauty and we consider a standing ovation a great honor for beauty and show our way of appreciation. Belarus was behind the iron curtain under communistic rule and to this day when Dimash performs in these countries and Russia it’s the same reaction. You can’t sugarcoat oppression. I don’t completely understand dimashs influence reaction in China. But, right away they called him little brother and cousin. The fellow contestants he became personal friends with and still to this day. They also gave him the nice name “Dimashified” which I believe is affectionately little Dimash. My name is Dennis but family call me Denny affectionately. The Etta and its in cultures means little. When Igor krutoy listened to Dimash at new wabpve singing sinful passion igor dimashs billionaire composer gave Dimash a standing ovation but many around him did not. It’s not that I believe that they are being disrespectful. That’s not it. They’re not showing their emotion or excitement. They pronounce his last name kudaibergenov. The ov if I’m spelling it right I believe is the addition to the name indicating from there. I don’t know if it’s in or from Dimash kazak heritage but it’s not used in thumbnails except in opera 2 a Russian song by Vitas a Russian singer sung in China. I thought when I watched Dimash first be introduced to the Chinese before he sang a note they applauded with love for this unseen before singer from neiboring khazakastan. With all the languages he sang at the competition the Chinese audience were language savvy I came to think. Many have sought out learning English as American teachers of English without degrees could go there for high salariies. The musicians backstage were definitely familiar with his music. You had to be a professional and invited. Dimash could not win coming in secon. And though he was Asian he was not Chinese.

Each culture may have its own rules, and if they differ from yours somewhere, it does not mean that they are wrong. Let's respect the traditions of different countries. Yes, in Russia and Belarus, people behave more restrained at official concerts and ceremonies (like this). It is not customary to jump up chairs and interfere with those who are sitting in the back. Such unspoken rules of behavior exist in the theater, ballet, and opera. And these same people can be very emotional and liberated at Dimash's own concert. If this is the "fault" of the Iron curtain, then apparently you need to say "thank you" to it, for the fact that people have not forgotten how to distinguish the atmosphere of the place. In addition, the authors of the video rebuked the audience, but at the same time they did not get up themselves. Personally I have seen many reactionaries from the USA, and some jump up from their seats, while others sit like stone. All people are different even within their own cultures. Regarding the "ov", this is the ending of many Russian surnames and previously they were actually attributed to many non-Russian surnames, including Kazakhs, but no one has been doing this for a long time. What you heard in the video of "Sinful Passion" is just a mistake by the presenter. And no "they" do that anymore.

This song is a pearl of the French songbook: It is a French-Canadian cyberpunk-rock opera called “Starmania”, written in 1976 by Michel Berger (France) and with lyrics by Luc Plamondon (Canada) and immortalized in the voices of Daniel Balavoine, Diane Dufresne and Gregory Lemarchal. The theme of the song is depression: In the 2021 version, Dimash faithfully and brilliantly presents a sentimental and melancholy interpretation! As the singing decisions follow the original structure of the song, which serves to show the psychological instability of the afflicted character: From the chest voice to the head voice and then to falsetto, the author sought to show a broad need to overcome a moment of despair and the pretense of accepting to reach a higher perspective! Dimash, currently at his concerts, dedicates this song to his friends and acquaintances who have departed this world! Original version - Daniel Belavoine - kzbin.info/www/bejne/b5y9pneeqrmerqc

Maybe I’m wrong but I think nobody gave a standing ovation because, unlike us, those people have known Dimash for much longer. They have had the fortune and pleasure of seeing him perform long before we did, and thus, they’ve been able to appreciate his talent. It’s very sad to say, but it’s the reality: people become accustomed to beauty. I never get used to his talent, but indeed, after hearing every nuance of his voice, I now enjoy it, but I don't jump out of my seat like I did the first time I heard him, even though he still amazes me.
