Well, Eivør Pálsdóttir’s music certainly emits that ancient Norse/Gaelic spirituality evoking love and respect for nature, and a grasp of things mystical. Her voice is hauntingly beautiful. Her native language is Faroese, which is where she’s from (Faroe Islands.)

Hi, dear Onyin... thank you so, so much for finally reacting to my request... and I think you haven't regretted it, did you ? I disagree with you in one point : Eivor does not look, or sound at all like Aurora. They both have a voice that can give you goosebumps, for sure, but first, they look totally different, in my opinion, and second, Aurora' is a self-taught singer and pianist, whereas Eivor is a trained classical soprano and instrumentalist. But apart from that, I really loved this reaction video... I love seeing you falling in love with this artist, her voice and her music. If you want to expkore more from Eivor, please do so, since you'll have so many different styles of music to discover from Eivor. Another mesmeerizing performance - although totally different from this one here - is this video here : "Eivor Palsdottir - Trodlabundin (Trollabundin) 10.08.13" Believe me, you never have heard anything like this before ! She sings this song in her native language Faroese, but the text is rather secondary in this case. I even think there is an English translation of the lyrics in the comments to this video. And when you'll also react to my other suggestion, I'll be the happiest subscriber of your reaction channel... promised ! It was "Jinjer - Pisces (Live session)". now this song will also leave a big impression on you, and I already know, it's gonna be a hilarious reaction ! It's been said a lot, but I think it has merit. The vocalist I think of a bit when I hear Eivør is Kate Bush. Maybe with a bit more range? And I think it's the bangs of Eivør that made her think of Aurora...

I don't understand why so many people compare Eivor to Aurora. Other than their hair color, and that they are of Scandinavian decent, they are nothing alike.

Thank you for this heartfelt reaction. 💚 I just love this performance and it gives me goosebumps every time, and quite often makes me tear up as well. If you like singers that play an instrument, please check out the Swedish group Dirty Loops. It's three ridiculously proficient guys on bass, drums and keyboard/vocals, where Jonah Nilsson does the most ridiculous vocal gymnastics while also playing the keyboard. Henrik Linder on bass and Aron Mellergård on drums are just as good at what they're doing. I'd recommend starting with maybe "Breakdown" or "Next To You", but their first original, "Hit Me", or any of their old covers would work as well. They haven't, in my opinion, released a single bad track since they started the band back in 2008 (first release - a cover on youtube - was in 2010 though).

Yes :) Eivor often is called Nordic Kate Bush, but regarding Aurora - they have some similarities , but... quite different - anyway, they both, Eivor and Aurora sung together during the pandemic (online) Aurora's classical hit "Runaway" - I saw just a fragments, so if you find it - let me know :D
