The effect you're hearing is from the "Talk Box," not Autotune. Talk Box converts human voice to sound like a musical instrument (e.g., guitar, piano, horn, flute, etc.). Autotune corrects the voice when it is out of tune, and this singer did not use Autotune because it was not allowed in the competition. Thanks! :)

Cool guess, but no. It IS an auto-tune (Hard pitch correction) effect with the threshold set to turn her slides into perfect chromatic notes for the T-Pain/robotic effect. If the effect is part of the show's production it is probably an ANTERES unit, but companies like T.C. Helicon make cheaper models that some singers will use on stage for these newer songs that require it to cover the original. KZ, of course, just used it as a dramatic change-up and not to "correct" her pitch. In addition, an actual "Talk Box" does the exact opposite of what you described. It blends your human vocal mic into the instrument signal, giving the instrument a human quality whereas you can speak words or form tonal changes via a tube in your mouth and they are mixed to the output. There pedals and MIDI processors that convert your guitar input to sampled sounds of other instruments, but that's a whole different thing.

It's a voice effect she used NOT autotune.She does not only sing very well but is also a Spit Fire when it comes to rapping. She arranged the song herself as she does with all her other music. Reverb can make the difference between a professional recording and something that sounds like it was recorded in a bedroom, adding depth and fullness to the sound.
