A half century later and still rocks as one of my favorites, both song, album and band. And happy birthday to Robert Plant.

I agree. I heard someone say that Led Zeppelin I and Led Zeppelin II is the greatest one two punch in rock. And it went uphill from there.

Memories flooding in, friend had an excellent Pioneer stereo; this album was brand new playing on an expensive turntable; Bose (501's?) corner speakers turned up. That's what's so cool about reaction videos. Folks react just as we did, brings a smile every time!

Beautiful organ beginning by JPJ then classic LZ beat, with Jimmy on strings while Plant orchestrates powerful vocals. This is who they are - Masters of Rock!

Actually, the song only ends abruptly in the sense that it leads right into the next song on the album, but that's very difficult to pick up on if listened to individually.

Just hit me, after 40 years, this is a country tune... any country artist could slay with this song. No wonder Robert Plant and Alison Krauss got together ... they both have great country chops.

@The Adventures of TNT & all~ Led Zeppelin & Black Sabbath have been tied my #1 for 54 years; today actually & in utero times, all thanks to Momma❣️ Such versital timeless bands! & Diamond Head were the perfect follow up, who blended the 2 better than anyone else ever. Not 1 bad song amongst them! Some less on my charts, yet still enjoyable. Thus why Metallica covered them all, mostly Diamond Head, still says a lot & from the many who tried to follow after. Too bad they don't make em like that anymore!

I love Zeppelin but there’s another group called Dread Zeppelin that you should check out. They’re hilarious. Their entire thing was that they covered Led Zeppelin songs but the singer was an Elvis impersonator and the style of the music was changed to Reggae. As much as I like this song, every time I hear it I hear Dread Zeppelin’s version.

When you listen to the LP, Black Mountain Side starts up just as Your Time Is Gonna Come is still fading out. I suspect the break is there so that Black Mountain Side is not heard on the single.

As much as I love this song, I prefer Dread Zeppelin's cover of it. Even Robert Plant said he preferred Dread Zeppelin's cover to the Led Zeppelin original and I agree.

Why don't you tell us what you think? All you did was say what the words meant. You didn't tell us what you thought about the tune, the song, whether you liked it, hated it, or loved it.
