I Agree, Ronnie Montrose had a great 2nd album but agree, his solo stuff was hit and miss until he formed Gamma with Davey Pattinson on vocals. That band was great!

Walked into a record store and the guy working had Rock The Nation cranked up. I forgot all about the album i was going to get. Went to the counter and asked what band that was. He said Montrose and walked me over to the album i bought it and was ready to get home and put it on my turntable. Great album.

That's impressive. I can't top that though I did see Sabbath supported by Van Halen who played pretty much the whole VH debut album. Also saw Purple and Nazareth in the 70's separately, though at one time Naz supported Purple - that's a combination I would have liked to have seen - and of course Roger Glover produced 3 Nazareth albums Razamanaz, Loud 'n' Proud, Rampant. It was just after that they did the Hair Of The Dog album produced by Manny Charlton, but them 3 albums produced by Roger Glover are worth checking out, e.g. tracks such as Alcatraz, Sold My Soul, Too Bad Too Sad, Go Down Fighting, Not Fakin It, Shapes Of Things (incl Space Safari - Roger Glover played mini-moog or something like that).
