Such a good song. In the past the trio used to have a little dance kick choreography for the "ah oh oh oh" part that wasn't on tour this year. However, these past 2 concerts some fans held up their phone saying "trio kick" so Scott saw and did a small one. Out by the busses later he talked with those fans and they showed him the video and talked about it and the concert tonight both Scott and Kirstie did a little mini kick at that part. Very cute.

This is from Pentatonix's 2017 self-titled originals album, co-written by Avi, Kevin and a songwriter called Taylor Parks. On previous tours they tried to get the audience to clap for them but it never really worked.

There's a video somewhere where Kevin was talking about how this song came about. It was because Avi arrived for the songwriting session, immediately saying that he'd just been listening to The Bangles' "Walk Like an Egyptian", and he was going to write a happy song. Most of the song was his doing, which makes it interesting that they're performing it now. I know that PTX is under what I like to call the "Lennon-McCartney" songwriting rule, which is that, no matter who actually wrote the song (maybe unless it was just one of them), writing credit goes to the whole band. Avi should at least be getting his share of royalties from them still performing it.

I was at their last concert tour in the 2nd row but I found a way to clap & film (at times! Haha) but my friend was with me so we each got videos of different songs. I'm so happy you are going to see them. (I told you before that Im seeing them this August too - in Charlotte NC) but I dont expect you to remember! 😂) It's gonna seem like an eternity until then! Arghhh!!! Btw, Cindy, I think you are so pretty! You remind me of my best friend who sadly passed from cancer 13 yrs ago. Friends since 9th grade. We were both 49 when I lost her (2 weeks before my mom passed, & the day after I was told my 14 y/o daughter may have leukemia. She didn't, but I didn't know that yet. 2009 was a bad year for me.) You do remind me so much of my best friend, so much so that it makes me get emotional when I'm watching y'all sometimes. You have the same kind of mannerisms too. I love y'all channel all the same! Love this reaction to one of their originals. ALL of their originals are awesome!!!

You seem to be missing the 3rd big Acapella band Homefree. There is a crossover where Avi Kaplan, PTXs founding bass member, sang with Homefree on Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire. There is also a great meeting between Homefree and PTX during season 4 of the SingOff that PTX came back to and Homefree won and PTX performs on the show.

Thanks Gail. I'm not missing them. They are definitely on my list. I just like to keep some variety to my videos and right now we are heavily covering Pentatonix in preparation for the concert in August. I'll bring in Home Free when we take a break from Pentatonix.

@@TouchyReactions okay but you might want to start on that with PTX return to the Sing Off the season after they left where Pentatonix performs I Need Your Love kzbin.info/www/bejne/aKGwk6yllpWCmtk Also all PTX members have solo projects they have done. Avi of course the most since he went out on his own but even during their time together. Kevin's "Renegade" is not to be missed and it used to be played in all their shows. The trio would leave the stage and Avi would demonstrate overtone singing while Kevin set up his cello. (They were very concerned about the band maintaining their acapella cred back then since winning an acapella competition was how they were able to start.

They don’t use electronic anything, ever I’ve seen them live in Hollywood and Kevin did all of the percussion. Why wouldn’t he? They used a string section but you’re able to see everything
