Budakhel is the combination of the guys’ names. They are solo artists who collaborate often enough to have a group name. Bu is for Bugoy Drilon (guy in white top), Da is for Daryl Ong (green leather jacket) and KHEL is for Michael Pangilinan (in the hoodie). They are great singers and have numerous raw vids (recorded with a phone camera while they are in the dressing rooms, etc). Check those out too!

Been following these four for a long time…can’t find a better group of individuals to collab. They are all super in their own individual rights. Do agree the 2 videos don’t light a candle to the studio version but you have to watch more of their performances to make a better judgement on them as artists. Check each of the guys out individually and collectively as BUDAKHEL, there’s plenty material out there. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Finally, I highly recommend my other fave collab of the 4, “Thank God I Found You”. Love your reactions to the videos and to each other. ❤️

Thank you for featuring Katrina Velarde. It's a fair point you made with the boys struggling with the harmonies. The Aura performance was especially tough with the audio people at the back not giving an eff about the mixing and were more into fan camming. Plus the group were not even wearing ear monitors and had to rely mainly on the stage monitors which obviously had problems as shown in the video with Katrina pointing to the monitor in front of her and Daryl. Nonetheless, she carried the live performance home, like she always does

You guys are great! Many thanks for your consistent and objective reactions. The studio version was really awesome. However, the guys rendered a very poor and disastrous performance in both the live versions. There were a lot of flats and sharps, don't really know why because we witness the greatness of those three guy’s individuals strength as well as being a trio. I may sound a little bias as a Filipino, but this is true as I watched a lot of their shows in the past. Katrina is really superb! I find her performance truly phenomenal and awesome. She sounds absolutely amazing as she can easily convey the message of the song, able to play with the rhythm, with the dynamics, etc. Wow!!! It’s supposed to be our nature to love and commit to the one person whom we love. But hearing Katrina’s voice, I have immediately started to doubt myself as if I wanted to flirt, and / or perhaps to stray.

The live vids don't really show their talent unfortunately. A lot of the fan videos from the Philippines alas, aren't high quality. Daryl Ong is the guy with the green jacket in the first video. He and Katrina are king and queen of the runs. You could go down a whole new rabbit hole with Darryl's music. If you want to see Budakhel's real voices, check out their version of Heaven. Also, Darryl does a collaboration with Morissette - You are the Reason, that is one of the best duets out there. And his version of Thinking Out Loud is great - runs galore, albeit when he was a bit younger. Nobody controls Katrina. She's definitely her own person and changes her look in just about every video. Also the videos aren't necessarily uploaded in order. They could have been from years ago.

Love your honesty… the second performance was taken during a gig and video was bad coz it was only taken by a fan, third performance was during her concert, the video itself as taken by katrina’s good friend who always follow her events, you see, katrina is not a big star in the philippines, she’s not under a big network production that is why her wardrobes are not well put up like other big stars under big tv networks. Shes the biggest underrated star… and she can easily tow out other big artists if she wants, but thats what i admire from her, because she’s grounded down to earth…
