Brian & Freddie were just AWESOME together!!! I was lucky to see them three times!

There was a documentary and Brian said they needed another short song for their album so he and Freddie stayed in the studio and wrote it. The idea came from a commercial on TV for Christian charities showing starving children which affected both of them greatly. They sang that song at Live Aid later in the evening around 9:30pm. It was perfect for the Live Aid occasion. Bob Geldoff asked Freddie and Brian to do it while they were setting up for Paul McCartney. Fantastic two songs. No other front man could ever control an audience like Freddie. Back then no one ever ever sang the songs of the band who was putting on a show. Queen was first. Freddie’s charisma was amazing!!!

The second song here was absolutely perfect for Live Aid. The words apply as much today as when the song was written, and probably always will be. Yes, it was brilliant work by both Freddie and Brian. The deep emotion in Freddie's voice gives me chills, and it was and is perfect for what is happening all over the world!

Freddie at his magnetic best and Brian showing subtlety and touch on the 12 string. Glorious

Again, a great and thoughtful react. Is this The World We Created was a BRILLIANT piece of work, especially in light of Live Aid! Anybody who was there or watched or listened "for the concert" certainly had their heartstrings tugged by this song!

Thanks for the double. Brian sings this now at every Queen concert. Look at the last tour. Freddie sings at the last. It’s very moving. 👑

I must admit I had never heard Love of my life before last December when I saw Bohemian Rhapsody and I am 57. Of course I knew who Queen was but never became a fan, of any other group too for the matter. I have become a real fan since though, they have powerful lyrics, sang by the most beautiful voice of all time surrounded by outstanding musicians. Love these two songs, love Queen, love Freddie and I really like both of you. Thanks, I can't wait for you to listen to March of the black queen and The prophet's song.

Speaking of Betty Boop, when I was planning to see Queen this past July I remembered that iconic shirt. I searched the globe and found a tshirt exactly like it in a shop in the Bahamas. I ordered it and when it arrived I had a seamstress friend cut the sides up, cut the collar and sleeves. She duplicated it to perfection. At the concert I must have had 100 people ask where I got it! What fun! I bet that little shop got loads of orders! I saw them in '74 and '81. First time seeing them without Freddie this summer. Wanted to take a little of Freddie with me!

Is this the world we created? was written pre live aid, and Geldof asked the band to do a song toward the end of the show & they knew this would be the perfect choice. This is discussed during a preshow interview the band gave.

If you have not seen a version of Brian singing Love of My Life from any if the current Queen concerts you should look it up. It's beautiful with all the lights from people's phones on and Freddie singing at the end. I haven't been to a show before and know I will be in tears when he does it this fall at their US tour. I have tickets for a couple of shows.

Idk if you’ve ever listened to love of my life as it is on the album. It’s quite different as it’s piano based, with full instrumentation. Brian actually plays the harp When the song was introduced to audiences in 1977, Brian would tell them how they reworked the song to be played with just the 12 string guitar. It’s wonderful to see the audience sing along with Freddie, but those earlier versions are absolutely beautiful. Freddie’s voice was so pure. Same goes for somebody to love. Is this the world we created is amazing & the message is timeless. Great reaction, and it’s great to see you two interpret these songs from two different generation perspectives.

Gimme! Gimme! A Man after Midnight, The Winner Takes it All, Voulez Vous, and I’ll Be Waiting for You to name a few of my faves!! God Bless!!!
