You should react to the Streak and Sitting Up With The Dead. The Streak was inspired by a fad back in the 70's. There was even someone who did it during the 1974 Academy Awards. Sitting Up With The Dead is inspired by a tradition used in more rural areas where mortuaries where less accessible. Since there wasn't a mortuary nearby you'd have to go to another town, and when the body was returned the layout would be set up in your house or a nearby church and last all night. My town didn't get a funeral home built until the mid 90's so I'm rather fond of this particular song.

The Shriners is a group most known for their work in charity and hospitals. My mom's cousin was severely burned years ago and survived due to their efforts. To help with the expenses they host several circus events a year. The dark side is each chapter is when they join together for not so honorable reasons.

Love this song. Ray has so many songs to listen to. Even the ones that were not released as singles are funny. You need to listen to this one... "Fred nostril & his Southseas Paradise, put your Blues on Ice, cheap at twice the price band (icky, icky, ucky, ucky)." I'm not kidding you. It's really a song! The only thing l will tell you is that Ray is imitating Johnny Cash. Another great song is "The Moonlight Special". There use to be a musical show called "the Midnight Special." & a famous DJ called "The Wolfman." This song has 3 famous artists that show up. It's fun to watch people trying to figure out who they are. Ray does all the voices. If you listen & can't figure them out...l will tell you who they are. Ray Stevens is just so fun to listen to!
