Great to see you reacting to Tommy again, it's been a while. Tommy did a fantastic job with this cover, real rollercoaster of styles and emotions, but works amazingly well. Tommy had extra fun with this cover and he bought the banjo specifically for this. Thanks for the great reaction

Ok, you’ve GOT to react to Tommy’s “Cotton Eyed Joe”… it’s a laugh and a half!😂 Tommy has such a highly tuned sense of humour and you’re going to laugh till your sides hurt! Can’t recommend it highly enough.

One of my favourite movies! Also @TouchyReactions if you want another artist to react to - Taron Egerton, who was the lead (Eggsy) in Kingsman, is a fantastic singer. He's the one that played Elton John in the biopic Rocketman and did all the singing. kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5u6oJ6nd92CetU There are bunches of videos of duets of his with EJ. No this song wasn't on the soundtrack of the movie, but in the sequel, EJ did have a small part in the movie. However, EJ chose Egerton (pronounced edger-ton) partly because he sang I'm Still Standing in the animated movie Sing. Egerton played Johnny the gorilla in Sing and Sing 2. In addition, Egerton played Eddie the Eagle in the biopic, same title, and sung a duet with Hugh Jackman on the ending credits.

The soft beginning was great. Even emotionally moving. But then the way Tommy basically did a mockery of this song that John Denver wrote as a tribute to his cherished experience and love of the American country life by using a comedy movie instead of clips of the American countryside was strange. Interesting how he didn't use clips from Gone Fishin' to do Downeaster Alexa or Sister Act to do Ave Maria. I don't think John Denver would be proud of this cover. Not even a poster or clip of John Denver.
