Recording videos on Sunday evening probably isn't the best idea. I look and sound so tired lol. But hey, I'll do anything to keep delivering you guys helpful content. What do you use to record worship services at your church?

Hey Jake I wanted to let know what the Lord has you doing has been a huge blessing not only to myself (out here in San Bernardino, CA) but to the entire community you have here on KZbin. I know all this might be tiring and exhausting especially having to pick up and tear a church every sunday. Make you rest and give sometime to you and your family and most of all God. You're doing a great thing here, thank you for your hard work and dedication!! Much love!!

It looks like this video was recorder in some DSLR or something similar. I’d love to know how a PTZ camera compares to a DSLR in video quality, but there’s nothing on the web. Could you say how and if it’s comparable, regarding lens quality? Thanks.

PTZoptics camera has been the changing game for us to spread the Gospel and the quality is amazing. Easy to use and friendly, got to say we have made the most wise choice of cameras for our live stream. We currently just started last year in September and there is no greater thing than this.
@sabinkenobi3 жыл бұрын
Ok, we just got this camera at our church and it looks like absolute trash. I've been messing with exposure, white balance, etc. with no luck. We have really good lighting in our building and basically it looks just like you showed on all auto. So HOW did you get it too look that good in the manual settings? can you send your exact exposure settings you input? And how is it not blurry with motion? Ours you take two steps and it looks worse than a VHS on a tube TV. I just don't get it and am thinking of returning this camera, for $1800 it's picture quality is garbage and there has to be better out there, probably for less money. Any help would be appreciated thanks!

Thank you for the video! I may have missed you mentioning this, did you live stream plus record this service then go back and add transitions in post? I am thinking about suggesting to my worship pastor that when we live stream, we don't publish after the stream end. Instead, we work on it a bit in post. I would actually prefer that we don't stream at all and just post a pre-recorded service that evening. Our internet is too slow to stream anything over 720p.

Hello Jake, interesting video....I'm wondering, have you use the Blackmagic cameras before such as Mini Ursa, BM Micro Studio, BM Studio & BM Pocket cameras ? If yes, how does the PTZOptics compares to them in low light ?
@danielkaranja79784 жыл бұрын
While I have never used the PTZ camera, I am not sure the Ursa Mini cameras would do any better in low light. However, they provide a host of other efficiencies to the workflow that the PTZ misses. For example, the Ursa allows you to; 1. Use fast lenses to help with low light situations. 2. Use zoom lenses for reaching much farther than the PTZ. 3. Take audio input from the sound board/mixer. 4. Etc.
@max4488yt6 жыл бұрын
Also what are your thoughts for a digital mixer... Allen & Heath SQ-7 or Midas M32 (or any other options that you recommend)? I have some older volunteers at my church... they would probably prefer a interface with 32 physical faders rather than digging trough layers... also our church prefers more that 32 inputs for future expansion.

So this is a way to pre record? I keep seeing “live stream” with PTZ but needing something for pre recording
@JoshM74 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure if you already know this, but things like how fast it move to a preset can be adjusted in the menu. Or at least ours has a setting for that. (EDIT; Just saw the date of this video, and I'm sure you know by now)

I am looking at PTZ cameras for a different application. It looks good but one thing I noticed with the video is that the color has a fair amount of red in it. You may be right that the lighting has a factor in that.
@edge21784 жыл бұрын
It would be great if PTZ Optics included an option that would allow for users to set ease-in/out and movement timing between programmed camera positions. This should allow for a more natural look during single camera setups particularly when live streaming.

I like this setup since it’s pretty straightforward. If I were to add 4-5 static GoPro cams on stage, and maybe one more PTZ (or the like), how could I add them to this setup?
@josuebarcenas14366 жыл бұрын
What do you know about power distribution? My church is a bit dated. Our options to power the stage at the moment are plugging into the available outlets near by. Which can be an issue causing a ground loop sound in our speakers. Also cables everywhere. I feel like Ralph’s dad from Christmas story connecting almost everything on one outlet. What are some solutions/options to distribute power effectively?

Hey there! You mentioned you had the M32. We are looking into the X32. Is this a good choice or do you think that the M32 is way better?

I recommend the M32 because it has better quality hardware. It’s worth the extra expense if you can swing it. Chances are it will last longer.

How does the ptzopics camera’s compare to other PTZ camera’s when it comes to moving shots (like panning, maybe a bit of zooming)? I’m considering getting a few PTZ camera’s for my church but I’m not sure if shot will be jerky when trying to pan slowly or zoom slowly... I’ll appreciate any kind of info about these camera’s in real world applications. It’s difficult to find information and if videos of how these actually operate in the real world for churches. Thanks in advance! - Max M.

Hey Jake, two gear questions - 1. What camera, lens, and lights are you using to record yourself? 2. What projector are you using in the church service? Is it being projected from behind, so that you are not casting shadows? Thanks for all of your work & videos! Love watching & listening to the podcast!

Thanks for subscribing to the channel and podcast! Would you do me a favor and leave a review on the podcast? It would mean the world. In this youtube video I'm using a Canon 6Dmii with a 24mm f1.4 lens with a senheisser mke 44o mic on the camera. As for lighting in this video I'm using a Neewer Dimmable Bi-color LED. I have it aimed at the wall in front of me for a nice diffused look. Most of my videos I film in the day next to a window with natural light. In a lot of my other videos i also use a Panasonic GH5. Hope that helps!

thanks for the vid. I'm looking at this camera for live streaming and was wondering how feasible it is to connect an audio feed directly to the camera's line in port from the mixer for embedding the audio? I'd like to skip the computer and audio interface altogether and just broadcast live streaming with audio directly from the camera via ip streaming.
@danielkaranja79784 жыл бұрын
There are many ways of adding efficiencies to this depending on your situation. One way to do what you are looking for is to have the audio interface go to a Atem Mini/Studio, then have the video from this camera feed into the same Atem device. The Atem can now mix it both for you and output to either a recorder or to your streaming PC/Mac.

I purchased the while setup, except I purchased the Behringer x32 board and it has an interface built in so there was no need for the separate Behringer interface.

Hey just an fyi, you should look into the new Mac control app for this camera. @ ptzoptics.com/apps You will need to add a simple network switch/router to your setup but if you're looking to start streaming this is something you'll want anyways. I don't know for sure if the USB models are capable of POE but if they're you will really like not having to deal with the hassle of the power cable. Just run an either-net cable (CAT5e or 6) and your USB cable for capture. The network controls will give a lot more functionality vs the remote and if you update the firmware you can set the preset recall speed to a very low speed and it will be less jarring. I don't know if the usb gamepad control is available on Mac yet but I'm sure PTZOptics is working on it if it's not. Feel free to email me directly if you need any help with this. I've been using PTZOptics cams for 2 years and have become a bit of a fan boy. Also their user group on FB is a great resource if you need help. facebook.com/groups/ptzopticspals/
