FIRST TIME RIDING AN XL DOWNHILL BIKE... IS BIGGER BETTER?? BLACK MOUNTAINS CYCLE CENTRE.

We heading out for Black mountain cycle centre in Wales for some serious MTB laps. We wanted to go and get as many downhill bike laps in as we could over a few days. With the World Cup looming it’s time to get serious. @BernardKerr his mechanic and of course Beney hit Black mountains for some Extra large downhill bike testing. Bernard is in fine form right now so he’s a good guy to try and hang on to and get the speed up. While Iv been building my new house he’s been putting the work in so he’s a good guy to get me back up to speed.
This was my first time riding an XL downhill bike. I thought it was time to see what the hype was all about and try this large and long bike craze for myself. Still on the fence about it all. Just because your bike is super long doesn’t mean it’s better in my opinion but we shall see.

The brake wheel touches the stationery side of the brake caliper and pad. I aired the tire up to 40 psi as the markings say 40-60psi. Left the house for a few hours and came back to an exploded innertube.All in all it seems to be a good bike. Have not ridden it yet though so that's the max of my knowledge. Update, put a new innertube made sure the tire was set properly and it did the same thing in under 20 minutes as second pic shows.

@@JMcGwyer i dont remember the numbers of hand and im out camping but its a 2019 YT capra 27.5. I think it was 500mm reach and 1260 wheelbase. Pretty sure on the reach and less sure on the WB. Specs should still be online but They changed up the frame a little in 2020 and i believe offer it in a mullet setup now with a flip chip on the rear.
