I flew to Japan to watch this show and can confirm, the crowd was way louder than the live stream and the Blu-Ray. This was a touching way to end the 10th Anniversary tour. Not going to lie, I did shed a tear along with thousands of other there. Saiki did a touching show appreciation speech before she walked down the runway, and don't know if you were aware, but the last verse was a special verse added to show appreciation to the Masters and Princesses. "For making today possible. For letting our voice join together. Thank you! For now, always. We'll never forget this view shared with you." Band-Maid is total class act! And why we love our Maids! PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘

At one concert, a guy climbed up to the stage and dived into the crowd. When he did that, he kicked Miku's mic stand which hit Miku's face. During the MC time of the concert, Saiki explained what had happened and made an announcement to the crowd that from now on, no diving, no crowd surfing, and no mosh pit were allowed in Band-Maid concerts.

Girl with Red guitar..Kanami Tōno, composer and lead guitarist. For me..Most impressive musician of the 21st Century. Pure genius as a composer and true Rock n’ Roll Star on stage. She is The Special One 🔥🤘❤️

Yeah, Kanami is kinda the musical genius behind the band's sound. With very few exceptions, every new song since 2015 was given birth in Kanami's imagination. Unlike the Beatles, Band-Maid has a single songwriter, and she's a force of nature: to my knowledge, she leads the band in rehearsals, creates the backing tracks and soundscapes, and pushes the band to achieve higher levels of competence (not to mention she also taught Miku how to play guitar). It's kinda funny when you read interviews of the band: when asked how a song came about they inevitably say that the band decided they wanted a song about X, and so asked Kanami to create it lol. That said, the band is very active in bringing those songs to final form (Kanami encourages everyone to participate), so the band's music is a genuine collab of the members (MISA in particular has taken over composing the bass lines in recent years, and Akane and the vocalists ofc add their magic).

I was at the Denver show last year and a mosh pit tried to get going a couple times and the bouncers stopped them pretty fast, but the crowd helped as well, passing the moshing people to the front and over the rail and then escorted out. That is not part of a Band-Maid show, at least at the four shows I have been to. Respectful enthusiasm is what I witnessed, singing and chanting and jumping at Saiki's command! You didn't want to get called out by Miku during Omajinai time(Magic Spell) for not participating in the "Moe, Moe! Kyun, Kyun" chants, bad form, Po! Most fun I've had at any concert in my 68 years on the planet!

No Japanese audiences are not subdued. I have been to punk gigs there and they are mental. Band-Maid crowds are lively but the band don't want moshing at their concerts. They have signs up saying photography/filming is banned (normal for Japanese concerts), and moshing and crowd surfing is banned. They have a lot of very young girls attending their concerts and often have a female only section of the crowd too (the Princess area). The band are really careful about the crowds well being - I think they have had some bad experiences in the past.

At the Salt Lake City show (2023), Star Crawler opened for them and the lead singer started some stuff between Star Crawler fans and Band-Maid fans and there was a small fight that broke out. The lead singer was actually talking crap about Band-Maid fans. When Band-Maid came on, the firs thing Miku did was ask if everyone was OK and that that kind of behavior was not acceptable. Stark difference between Band-Maid and a US act. It was embarrassing to see the difference. I have been to some hard core shows in my life and have moshed with the best of them but there is a time and a place for mosh pits and slamming each other but a Band-Maid show isn't it. I would love to go to a MTH show and smash faces but that would be different.

Several folks that were there said that the crowd was 100 times louder than it sounds here. The show was made into a Blu-Ray so maybe they wanted to get rid of the crowd noise.

Depends on the band, but Band-Maid's shows, both in Japan and the US, are a bit more chill than your hard rock show. Part of it is their audience. Since Band-Maid appeals to so many different kinds of people, their fans tend to be more respectful of each other. There was a time where Band-Maid was concerned that their female fans were timid at their shows because of some reckless fans, so they set up a "princesses" section so they would feel more safe. The Maidiacs got the message and there is no need for it anymore. Try searching for the fancams for their show last year in either Denver or SLC. You will see how much they appreciate their "small small pigeons."

They have a different vibe to their concerts which is pretty unique to them I think ... it's more of an inclusive experience for everyone. At this gig in Yokohama, during the singing of "Choose Me', Saiki, Misa and Kanami walked along a circular catwalk to get closer to the audience and allowed everyone to video the song. Not sure if there's a professional version of the video but tons of fan videos available.

Big production songs like this- The genius that is Kanami (Red guitar) as you say. There are many songs where she backs the vocals with continuous riffing patterns in the back ground- so selfless and supportive. No mosh pit at Band-Maid shows- they are family events. Young ladies and children are let to the front where possible.

This was a reserved seating concert. At US venues, the bulk of the crowds are old dudes, 40 - 70yo, so no moshing.

Hello! I'm a fan of Band-Maid. In Japan, we are taught from a young age not to bother others and to follow manners. Therefore, even as adults, we still have these habits. However, we do make a lot of noise at festivals, etc.

Yes! Japanese concert can be subdued, or "polite" as they might call it. Especially if seated like at their Tokyo Garden concert (albeit it was just after Covid). And no moshing or fancams either unless permitted for like one quick song, as it was here, at Yokohama for Choose Me. Check that one out, Mr. X!

Was there for both the Tokyo Garden Theater show (Jan 2023), the opener for their 10th anniversary tour, and this show, the final (Nov 2023). At TGT, Miku and Saiki had to tell the crowd that it was permitted to make noise, even when masking was still a common practice. Also, Band Maid just returned from their US tour, where we got rid of the mask rules, and they were enjoying the fans craziness. So, at TGT, the crowd was getting used to freedom again, while a few of us overseas folks were going nuts. Fast-forward to Nov at Yokohama and many shows in-between, and I noticed a marked difference in the native crowd. They were hooping it up like us overseas fans at that show, less mosh pit (kinda not the Band Maid fans style). All in all, the Japanese are reserved in their ways, but when prompted they will do some crazy Sh*t, Po! 🦍🍌

Actually, the audience wasn't, or was really poorly, recorded. There's tons of comments from people who were actually at the show saying the whole arena was singing loud and clear. The sound engineer probably cared for the best possible audio for the band, but he missed an opportunity to make it even better.

I think it’s the post editing that the audience sound was muted because if I remember correctly in the Live Stream they were loud. Even I was singing out loud watching on screen.
