Hi all, 100 hours Corepunk player here, 1. QUESTING - if you enjoy exploring and doing things on your own without markers and gps system youre gonna love it, id say its a mix of diablo/valheim/dota, the main thing about this game is that you can talk to any NPC and do any quest you want, but you have to read the quest dialogs to find your way, for example: if you have to talk to some guy its gonna say "Find Zugg, he's in an abandoned house west of here, when you pass the railroad go south and turn east at the crossroads and find him in a forest somewhere there". I personally hate games where you get a huge arrow point to the location, im here to go on an adventure and find my own way not play a racing game following an arrow all the time. So basically this game is NO HAND HOLDING, it just throws you in and says you gotta find out stuff yourself so be prepared to get lost for 20min trying to find an item on some farm ''somewhere east of here''. 2. COMBAT - combat is pretty simple, all creatures have their own attack patterns, many have basic attacks and charged attacks. up to lvl 10-12 you can solo mobs your level, but after that you need to group up for clearing camps and doing quests. for example as a level 15 you cant clear lvl 13 camps, but its easy to find groups. 3. CRAFTING - the crafting / gathering system is also kinda unique. you have 4 main ways of gathering resources: mining, logging, herbalism, butchery and the way it works is that you can collect all 4 of those but your skill is divided among all of them for a 100% total. EXAMPLE 1 - 50% mining 40% logging 5% herbalism 5% butchery give all together 100% and if you want to improve your mining, the other 3 skills would decrease, EXAMPLE 2 - 90% mining 6% logging 2% herbalism 2% butchery is also 100% all together. the higher % your skill is the better loot you get from that type of resource those are the main things that are kind of a ''love it or hate it'' for most people. but keep in mind that the game is still in pre-alpha, it's in no way a finished polished game.

@@fedlon the game has open PvP, similar to runescape, cities are safe zones and outside of the are orange/red zones and they are both open PvP, you can toggle it on and attack anyone, but if you kill players lower level than you you get bad karma points, and the more points you have the more loot you drop on death, and if you get more than 1000 points you are an outlaw and NPCs attack you too. you lower your karma by killing mobs and farming

and if your PvP is turned on, anyone who kills you wont get karma points just honor points, but if your PvP is off and someone kills you they get karma points and honor points. and honor is used for pvp gear, some weapons have certain honor lvl requirements

I don't like the game, but saying it's uninspired is just inaccurate. Devs are making quite unique game with their own vision of it. I don't support it, but some people might like it
