Hokben serve Japanese inspired food but not the authentic one. My favourites there are the ekado (which has egg) and Egg chicken roll. It is a good alternative from the ussual fried chicken fast food 👌🏻

First of all, Hokben was 100% Indonesian, then for me the rice in Hokben was special, it's just so fit with the food, and you should try the salad

What I like from HokBen is the salad. HokBen is Indonesian restaurant, so not real Japanese. Well if you want sushi you can try Sushi Tei. It's from Singapore. I like Genki Sushi, it's from Japan.

Hokben's mayonnaise is the best mayonnaise. I usually don't really like mayonnaise but this is i can't resist. Hokben is bento restaurant which is no sushi. If u want to try eat sushi in Indonesia, maybe u can find Sushi Tei in Bali

@@putrikencana1966 kan udh saya kasih tahu bahwa Hokben itu restoran bento (kotak makan) bukan restoran sushi. Semua orang Indonesia juga tahu kalau di Hokben ga ada sushi. Kok jawabnya jadi ga nyambung gitu sih? Hokben itu resepnya dari Jepang asli, yang punya Hokben dulu pergi ke Jepang buat beli hak cipta resep asli masakan Jepang. Jadi bukan bergaya Jepang doank tapi memang masakan Jepang asli. Hanya saja dalam beberapa hal dibuat rasanya agar sesuai dengan lidah orang Indonesia. Setahu saya Hanamasa tidak ada sushi , itu restoran khusus all u can eat dengan tema Jepang jepangan. Tidak semua makanan di Hanamasa itu berasal dari Jepang jadi Hanamasa yang lebih tepat dibilang sebagai restoran bergaya Jepang.

Hokben is always my favorite.. the egg inside the dumpling or ekado is quail egg.. and the wings u tried is called tori no teba which is stuffed wings.. my favorite also.. try to eat on other indonesian restaurant chain such as Solaria 😃😃

8:20 That's weird chicken wing menu is called Tori No Teba, that's a chicken wings but filled with the chopped chicken meat + tapioka flour + oyster sauce + sesame oil. If you guys want "a more themed japanese restaurant" but "local", i recommend ichiban sushi. That's Indonesian sushi chain with affordable price👍 sometimes they open "all you can eat sushi & ramen promo" only around $5 or something ❤️❤️

The little egg inside the dumpling is quail egg! It's commonly consumed in Indonesia and other Asian country.

So they use quail egg for ekado (the crispy dumpling stuffed with egg that you ate) And also it was chicken wing gyoza.. It's simply a deboned chicken wing that is stuffed with gyoza filling.. Normally for the halal version the filling would be minced chicken cabbage and so on..

The fried dumpling has quail eggs in it. And the one that looks like chicken wing called tori no teba which means boneless chicken meat.. and it is a meatball

The mayonnaise mix with the chilli sauce are the best in hokben. Even without the chili sauce, it's great too. You should pour the mayo in the salad too. Also you shoud try the fried chicken, it's unique. Some people like their fried chicken more than any other fast food restaurant out there

Hoka Hoka Bento ( Hokkben) is a fast food company from Indonesia that takes the concept of Japanese food style. Even though the name is like Japanese company, but it's not from Japan..... They give concept like Japanese style McD, which is quite popular in Indonesia..... I like Chicken katsu..... 😋

I fully agree that hokben is not like an authentic japanese themed fast food chain. They mostly just sell deep fried things that may have been sold in Japanese street foods and/or Japanese Convenient Stores. Authentic Japanese restaurants in Indonesia that I can think on top of my head are Genki Sushi and Sushi tei, probably the 2 most popular japanese restaurants here. If they are available in Bali, we'd love to see you guys go there!

8:25 that’s my favorite one, tori no teba. it is actually a wing but they took the bone and the meat out of the skin and that pointy part of the wing (idk what it’s called) and then they fill the skin with some sort of shredded chicken meat (is it shredded?)

Hokben is 100% indonesian local brand, not linked to any japan original fastfood restaurant. You should try yoshinoya restaurant than hokben. We can easily find yoshinoya outlets everywhere in japan. Or try authentic japanese restaurants (but not fast food) like furusato izakaya, enmaru, asuka, hokkaido izakaya, kahyangan, etc 👍
