Dear my mate Mate, from Surabaya you should directly go to wonderful Banyuwangi. This 'unique' region in East Java is culturally & environmentally beautiful, near Surabaya city.. And then, from Banyuwangi , you can take a VIP bus to Bali.... Thanks a lot, gentleman, for exploring the cultural & environmental diversities of Indonesia. Sorry for some " cultural shock" you may find/experience. Take care & have a great day.

From Surabaya to Banyuwangi, in my opinion, by plane is more efficient and more comfortable. By bus or train would be 'time consuming' and more exhausted. Thanks.
