British Staple. Nothing beats a Gregg's Sausage Roll. * Editing this because people can't seem to read. Yes I know better sausage rolls exist in the world, however there's just something about a Gregg's one that hits different.

I spent 2 weeks in London a couple years ago for a vacation, and there was a Gregg's like a half a block from where we were staying. I'm not kidding when I say I lived off sausage rolls. Almost every time I was going to or from the hotel, I would stop and get one. Delicious.

America tends to avoid meat pies for some reason. I lived in Scotland as an American for a few years. The quality of the hamburgers and meat pies is next level. They definitely hit different on those cold rainy days, too. That "stay inside on a cold day" comfort food hits the spot. Surprised the Midwest and Upper East don't adopt more meat pie spots.

Hmm the only thing other than us having hella alternatives with similar ingredients but in different form. As an American and EXTREMELY picky eater so i don’t represent all of us. I see and eat most pastry products at room temp. Doughnuts, croissants, etc but I eat meat products warm or hot (i hate sandwiches cuz of cold but cooked meat. The thought of a meat pie for some reason makes me imagine someone letting the meat filled bread sit out for too long and it rotting inside and turning into sludge. So its not even something id crave on a normal basis. I know that what I described isnt what happens im just saying why i my self am not obsessed with trying to find one here in America to try it. Im ok with our alternatives for now. Ill try it one say if i travel or make one myself.
