More to try: Tantuni Gözleme Kumpir Lahmacun Pide Ciğ köfte Desserts: Künefe Sütlaç Tavuk göğsü Drinks: Salep Boza And if we include more home-made type foods, OMG! Those are insanely delicious! You can find small “lokantas” selling that type of food, specially try the ones made with olive oil, super healthy, tasty and of course are different from the famous street foods. For example: Biber dolması Yaprak sarması Zeytin yaplı pırasa Barbunya (one of my favorites) Zeytin yağlı patlıcan Zeytin yağlı Taze fasulye And the list can keep going on 😍

Turkish food is popular worldwide but i still think it's quite underrated - there are way more than just kebab:)

@@TahJetiyamon I agree. There are a lot of other delicious dishes. I need to try them.
If we were to go to Istanbul for a month, what area should we look for our Airbnb? Would be very grateful for some advice on that. Thanks in advance

Yes! Seriously I think whatever you crave for, you can get it all in Istanbul - the food scene is very diverse and most of their food are healthy too

By the way they served you Eker Ayran, which isn't really that good, if you ever want to try some good Ayran either go for Sütaş Ayran or if you ever go to Izmir, a local brand called Sakıpağa is absolutely superior (Sütaş - a nationwide dairy brand - is pretty close)

Also that rice isn't "bulgur", bulgur is yellowish colored cracked wheat, closer to the pasta if anything, that rice is Osmancık, our local rice created from the genetical fusion of Europa rice and Italy's Rocco rice.
