During booking, paid for $6 Customer Service Plan + Additional $5 for some other, didn't even got to select, neither the perice , of luggages, and says to check back later. After booking (paid already) and confirmation only I found there is another pending $300 Taxes fee. Could not find an option so Through My Trip I've tried to contact, the page asked me to enter booking reference number sent through e mail, non of them worked even tried to call, no outcome. Tried to cancel contacting Airline (FitsAir), now there is a $50 fee for cancelling... I was almost fuhh$Kedup

I have heard stories about people in the barrios not wanting to go to the touristy areas because of the crime there. it’s ironic. Either way, in either of these places it’s good to carry a decoy wallet and cheap phone to quickly give to the thieves, so they leave you alone.

All those third party travel agencies are suspicious, don't trust them at all, I also had a similar experience last summer where I booked a flight with them from Madrid to Lisbon through Edreams, and while the flight there was fine when I went to do the check in at the return with easyjet it didn't accept the check in numbers they gave me and at the airport the flight was nowhere on the monitors, a lady at the airline desk told me it had been cancelled but I didn't get any refund or couldn't find it on the internet to get compensation with air-help. Always book with the airline directly and be wiiling to pay insurance for cancellation for important flights.

i went there 6 years ago and certainly had to be careful. there are not a lot of asians and i stuck out even though i wore simple things. i did navigate w my phone during the day and noticed people staring at me and tracking me. however i am a smart traveler and do more day time things and get home early. i went dancing one night. i paraglided. did a mural tour. i miss bird watching the most in the carribean coast . its a lovely country. perhaps pandemic has made all in this world more desperate. be careful anywhere in these streets.

"No dar Papaya" has always been the case in Medellin. Travellers need to get acquainted with the basic safety protocols before they go there. It is not like your Home Country.

I'd be interested in knowing which neighborhood you were staying before you decided to move to Poblados. I'm traveling to Colombia in February and just booked a place for a couple of nights in the neighborhood of Laureles. I wanted something quieter, less touristy than Poblados. But after hearing about all the insecurity in Medellin I'm wondering if I should skip the city altogether!! If it's possible to take a bus from the airport to Manizales or some other town on the way I should consider doing that. Any info is appreciated. Greatly produced videos. I also had a very negative experience with edreams! In my case, I booked 9 tickets for a group. I got no tickets and no further information. I tried to talk to their chatbot and wrote several e-mails... Everything was useless.
