Congratulations on your Loc journey!!! I like to use Design essential.,. I use it their clarifying and moisturizing shampoo all in one wash. I also like the neutrogena anti residue shampoo and a clarifying conditioner…. For oil I love the talijah waajid African healing oil I swear by that oil…. I couldn’t use the Jamaican mango and line it caused my hair to have build up . . I will be 5 years loc’d July 8th!!!

Hey Thanks for leaving a comment. So it safe to condition your loss too? How and when do you use the oil, is your hair still damp form the wash? Do you ever apply it to dry locs?

don't blow dry, air dry, or use a mircofiber towel 💯 and apply oils only on the scalp not the actual locs. For keeping your locs moisturized use a combination of rose water and tea tree oil, gonna have your shit right in the long term.
@alejandrocortez26022 жыл бұрын
Them locs are looking on point!!! Usually I get a little trim on the top or sides so my hair don’t get all messy and a small trim for the beard and obviously a line up on both the hair and beard and it usually cost like a good 25 dollars which is not bad Can’t wait to see more of the loc journey tho

Your locs look good! I enjoyed my starter/baby locs. My mate has the same style as you, with the bald fade and locs at the top. I love to rub the back of his head where it’s bald at, to feel the spiky hairs lmao
@ajh.41312 жыл бұрын
You did great! Just a recommendation. You can keep your scalp moisturized using natural essential oils too. Just make sure your hair is damp with water (spray bottles are your friend) and the oil will seal in the moisture (like coconut oil, jojoba oil). Also, if you’re ever in the DMV and you want your locs maintained professionally, I’d like to recommend the salon I go to.

@@ajh.4131 I am not sure but i think it is most suitable for the type 1 and 2 as they cant utilize other options, but the crotchet method can work on 4c, it would lock much faster if no moisture is applied for a while,
