I Personally Don’t Get My Locs Retwisted As Often As I Used To Because It Does Pull At The Edges And Pulls Your Hairline Back Over Time. Maybe Once Or Twice A Year For Me But I Keep It Washed Every Two Weeks. Your Stylist Definitely Knows What She’s Doing. Looks Good My Guy 🤟🏾🤟🏾

They’re looking good! I feel what you’re saying about the retwist day that wash feels so relaxing. I started with comb coils so I’m not sure about how long you can go in between retwist s with two strands but the general consensus seems to be about 1-2 months in contrast to comb coils going 1 month for every retwist so you’re doing good with that. Also I would recommend switching from a durag to a silk/satin headscarf to sleep in, they hold your hair better while still retaining moisture and it doesn’t flatten it down as much as a durag

I get stress bumps if my hair is braided too tight, and it’s harder to sleep on my back vs my side, but I do recommend a braid back. You can braid it back into two or three or four or even five braids. You can keep the ends fully braided or loose. And it’s no maintenance other than oiling your scalp. It can last over a week. And it locks up your hair faster. If not for styling, do the braids for locking up faster if that’s what you want. It really compacts your hair.

I started off getting barrel rolls when I got retwist but after like 3 days I was ready to take em out cause of the itching I got rope twists (two strands) and never went back I can wear em much longer and get my moneys worth out of a retwist
