Canabalism isn't an act of war. The closest you'd get is stuff about treatment of prisoners.

You'd think so, but no. Granted, there are provisions in the Geneva Convention for harming sick or injured enemy combatants and prisoners of war, and there were later proposals outside of the Geneva Conventions detailing the desecration of the dead, but cannibalism itself is not strictly outlawed. Moreover, the Geneva Conventions only apply to recognized international wars, so there's room for exceptions.

So essentially as long as you’re not eating people that are alive then it’s just a regular crime and not a war crime.

@@NightFangFenrir It might not even necessarily be a crime unto itself as cannibalism specifically is rarely outlawed given how generally taboo it is, but things involved with cannibalism such as kidnapping, human trafficking, assault, murder, grave robbing and desecration of the dead generally DO have laws surrounding them. The US in particular is really weird about this since neither the federal government or any of the individual states has a law specifically banning the act of cannibalism, despite a history of cannibalistic incidents within the US. The presumption there I suppose is that cannibalism cannot be prosecuted because it might be necessary in a survival situation, but in other situations engaging in cannibalism breaks so many laws it doesn't matter if it's not a punishable offense unto itself.
