This movie is truly a gem; thank you for this reaction. If you loved Adam and Drew in this film, I must recommend these other films, The Wedding Singer and Blended. Another film that’s similar to this plot that’s based on true story is very good as well; it’s called The Vow. I agree that the lesson is if you find love don’t let it go, but don’t take it for granted. You never know how long you have with it. 💘

The walruses were from a park not far from where I live. We were at the park when they did some of the walrus scenes. 18:18 surprised they didn’t work something out with the police that her plates had the old tag but her registration was up to date. 19:42 Dan Aykroyd mentions that the institution is funded by TB Callahan out of Sandusky, Ohio. It’s in reference to a Chris Farley movie “Tommy Boy” (TB Callahan=Tommy Boy Callahan.) it’s a great comedy.

One of my very favorite movies. My dad had a traumatic brain injury 20 years ago, and when I showed him this movie, he loved it, too. It became a favorite of his for the rest of his life, and now it always reminds me of him. Living with a traumatic brain injury is very challenging, and it’s rarely shown in films. Another absolutely wonderful movie about brain injury is Regarding Henry, with Harrison Ford and the amazing Annette Bening. If you’ve never seen it, I highly recommend it to you. P.S. March is traumatic brain injury awareness month.

Man, good call removing your headphones during the Sixth Sense scene, because it absolutely was a spoiler. Would love to see you react to that one soon! I generally don't like rom coms, but this one has a lot of heart but is also genuinely funny, which is why it's one of my favorites. I do wonder what it must be like for the daughter, though, having a mother who has no memory of you. It might be hard, but at the same time, your mother would always be overwhelmed with love and joy "meeting" you everyday. Anyway, fun video, as always!

It's based on a somewhat true story of a real medical condition. A wife got into an accident and forgot stuff about her husband and life. He does things to help her cope.

A few years ago, my old job's manager had their son involved in a car accident and he lost memory -- he woke up thinking he was 16 (12 years younger) and completely forgot about his wife. Never really heard what came after - avoid street racing, kids.

I like that this movie was different but personally, I don't think it works as a love story. I don't believe you can fall in love with a stranger when you have 24 hr memory. Unless you already knew the person and have some sort of preexisting connection to them. I know it's implied that she has some subconscious memories of him, but I don’t think even that's enough to build a marriage and a family on. Imagine how terrified she must've been during the pregancy.

Eh this feels like a very superficial take. Regardless if she knew the person before the memory loss she still would have to face waking up not remembering anything about the progression of their relationship and would have to be reminded of it/read about it in her journal so really it makes zero difference. I think she should be able to have a life and family despite her memory or else it would just be her living in a loop again or just being alone. Life keeps going and it wouldn't be fair to her to not be able to keep moving on with it.
