We don’t just like them for their songs or looks but their personalities. But yes all 7 are just ridiculously talented.

Korean culture is really different to the American one, people there praise each other a lot and men are very close to other men and it's normal for male friends to hug and play a lot, there's not that toxic masculinity, most of them are not affraid to cry.

I hate when women whine about "Toxic masculinity" when those same women are the reason men behave like that in the first place. The real issue is toxic shippers who think it is okay to label men and imply their sexuality based on how they interact (affection, hugs etc) and what they wear (Pink etc). It is not just shippers either. If ignorant girls/women were not calling men "Gay" for simply hugging or looking at each other, straight men would feel more comfortable with showing affection and wearing bright colors etc. It is no different from women teaching their sons not to cry because they are males. Yall are the root of the issues you complain about. "Toxic masculinity" is caused by toxic femininity and females that fetishize gay relationships.

They don't have to change anything because of anybody, I don't like that at all. When men try not to act vulnerable because that is not manly? I mean we all are human so we all are vulnerable, that's what I call toxic mascuinity, don't get me wrong. I don't like women shipping men either, both sides are terrible

About taking care of the younger members: while it certainly is a cultural difference, remember that when Jin met Jungkook (youngest member) Jin was 20 and Jungkook was 15 and had recently moved away from his parents. Those five years might not be a huge deal now but they certainly mattered then.

@@naiyosayo6103 5 years is still 5 years. For anyone to take on that role, at their ages, was a lot. Jin had never even been on his own, either. He even said he had to "learn it all" - how to cook, do laundry, clean, etc. - when he got to the dorm. Due to the economy, a LOT of Korean "kids" live with their parents until they get married now because housing prices are astronomical in South Korea. 18 *OR* 20...most older teens/young adults wouldn't have been able to take on that role of pseudo-parent to a 13-15 year old who's 4 hours from "home" (Busan to Seoul is about a 4 hour drive) without freaking out, at least a little, about "How do I care for this kid?"

Great pick up of the dual leaders of BTS!!! RM has always said that he is (publicly) the face as the leader but JHope is the true leader of BTS behind the scenes. Now I do believe that RM is very much the leader behind the scenes too because he had to deal with corralling 6 people & deal with management but JHope as dance leader is very pivotal too. I like how RM acknowledges this. JHope left the group just before debut but RM went to corporate and advocated for them to get him to return saying, "We won't make it without Hoseok". He KNEW they needed their dance leader.

idk if u guys know this but before bts debuted jhope actually left the group, since getting the chance to finally debut was such a difficult thing he ended up giving up and took the decision to leave, theyve mentioned how jungkook cried really hard when he told bts he was leaving, however it was the rest of the boys who -after jhope left- went to the company and asked for them to please bring jhope back, saying the team wouldnt make it without him when you really think about it, its crazy -both rm and suga were noticed on auditions, suga struggling with money and the shoulder injury he got working part-time while training with bts -jhope ended up on their team as a dancer AND THEN learned about rap and making music, and once even leaving -jin getting randomly noticed on the streets for his looks, no musical skills at all and having to learn from zero -jungkook choosing a small company over the bigger ones, which is not a smart idea AT ALL if u wanna be an idol in korea, just to be in the same company as rm -v was literally accompaning his friend ffs and look at him now - and jimin was told so many times he wouldnt make it into the team bc his training period was too short and his dancing style didnt fit the group's concept absolute madness

Yes, part 2!!! Love the reaction 💜 I like that you mentioned JHope and RM covering two different parts of leadership…. RM always said that if he wasn’t the leader then JHope would have been the leader. Jhope is naturally extroverted and easy for people to talk to him but when he’s being serious (“in the zone”) he also naturally commands attention and everyone listens to him. Most people who are new to BTS think Jin is arrogant when they read how he calls himself World Wide Handsome. But you guys made a great observation and said he’s sarcastically arrogant. I’m so glad you guys caught that! Jin is actually shy and introverted but he is always willing to do something silly at his own expense to make people laugh or to take away unwanted attention from someone else if that person is feeling uncomfortable. RM likes to have Jin near him during American interviews for his presence 😊 Jin is always subtly taking care of the members. I hope you watch Jungkook the Main Vocalist of BTS by Ida S one day! He consistently excels at everything he does and is so stable that people often take him for granted. But I love Ida S’s video to show the depth of what it means to be the main vocalist for BTS. And yes, the finger heart! It’s even an emoji 🫰🏻🫰🏻🫰🏻 it’s right up there with the color purple for us 💜💜💜 Can’t wait for part 3!

10:22 FYI, BTS was on the cover of Rolling Stones many times. They even released 7 separate editions with photos of each member on the cover, in order to honour the group. Rolling stones even had a limited edition that covered only BTS as well; yeap the entire magazine had their entire journey from the very beginning up until now. Time magazine named them "The most influential artist of all time" and they embraced the cover many times.

Jin is one of my bias (with RM and SUGA). His energy is admirable, he's the most down to earth handsome guy I've seen lol Yes, even if he uses it as a running joke, he does say it heartfully (?) as self-love: go to the mirror and tell yourself that you are handsome every morning. These kind of things. Before Bangtan he was pretty shy and more "dark" of a person (said by him several times), but after they recorded Fire... he realized he had to abide by their own lyrics and enjoy life no matter what. He said too that fans made him gain confidence in himself (look, singing, dancing) and he's thankful for that so he gives and takes back that energy. He's super chill. I hope in 2023 you start watching their content (they just uploaded 80 episodes of Run BTS to their bangtanTV channel!!!) even on your own! U're right we call everyone Kuya even if we don't know them personally here, just a sign of respect or Ate, when u buy from a vendor, u say ate or Kuya or anywhere when u need to ask something, When u see if it's an elderly u say Tatang, Tatay, Nay, Nanay means father or mother, but they're not ur actual mother or father. Respect is very important as well here, we don't call people by names only if they're much older specially if u're not super close or officemates, friends, etc. It pays to be respectful here too, but Korea's sign of respect is way way way way way Deeper & more confusing to me. - Jin BTS has allergies to cold weather, Garlic and potatoes, Jin also has a phobia with insects - Even though RM BTS loves Crab, he has a seafood allergy - Taehyung BTS it can't stand high temperature. He has cholinergic urticaria, He can't drink coffee, He is also allergic to nuts - Jimin BTS Even though he likes cats, he can't adopt them Or say allergic to cat fur - Suga BTS Same with Jimin BTS - Jungkook BTS Allergy to flowers, He also has a phobia of microwaves and is afraid of microwaves and he is afraid of the vibrations that occur when he is in an elevator - Jhope BTS Phobia of altitude, snake, Insects & ghosts

RM is NOT allergic to seafood. He just doesn't like it. Tae CAN drink coffee...again, he just doesn't like it. People aren't allergic to cat FUR. Those with cat allergies are allergic to their SALIVA, which is why *most* people who are allergic to cats can actually have a Sphinx ("hairless") cat. With no fur, they tend not to groom themselves - there's not exactly much need to. J-Hope...is basically scared of EVERYTHING...but I don't think any are actually phobias. Some fears are a bit more serious than others, though. NOTE: Jimin also has a fear of butterflies. One flew up his shorts when he was a kid, he's been afraid of them ever since. Just sitting there, minding your own business, when you feel fluttering on your thigh? I can see how that could be traumatizing to a child.

The finger heart is what they are making. Also, the astronaut has nothing to do with BTS storyline, which is a huge rabbit hole. The BU is what we call it referring to the storyline. It starts at the "I need you mv" and any mv after that marked as BU content. There is a webtoon and short films and books all part of the storyline as well. It's complicated.

When it comes to Jin...2 things are important and (semi) related. 1 - The "bus incident"? Yeah, that happened to him...TWICE. The first time, he thought it was a scam and threw away the business card. The 2nd time, yep, BigHit. He did research. Realized BH was a real company. So, he called them. They promised to get him acting gigs. Granted, of course, it turned out it was a (then) Hip Hop group they wanted him for. The rest is history. 2 - Even AFTER being stopped - two times - getting off a bus and being offered a job strictly because of how handsome he is? He gave HIMSELF the Worldwide Handsome/WWH nickname. Why? Because he was actually really insecure about his looks! It's kind of like a...self-help book, I guess? The more he said he was WWH, the more he...not necessarily believed it, but...the more he DID become more confident in his looks. It's never been in an "I'm better than you" way for him, just in, more of an "Okay, I guess I'm not TOO bad looking" kind of way. It caught on with the fans, of course, so even today - now that he is a bit more confident - he is still, and will always be, our "WWH Jin".

In the Philippines, generally, we say 'kuya' for older males and 'ate' for older females.. While in Korea, there are some differences regarding if it's a male/female
