From what i understood is just that every ghost reacts differently to their deaths and the context it happened and that trauma can be manifested in various ways physically or mentally. Nora is so distressed by the lost of her child she is always confused and don't even realizes she is dead. Moira was killed because of adultery and being assaulted so she holds resentment towards men and shows that way to them because they treated her as an object. Tate is a psycho and antisocial and can't discriminate between good and evil, he doesn't understand and/or can recall why he was killed so that's why his body doesn't show any injuries from when he died. And so on.

you questioning nora forgetting about tate and inconsistencies of tate knowing whether he’s dead reminds me of comments made about ghosts in Bly Manor on Pop Popcast’s channel. they said the ghosts on that show are similar to the demented; knowledge and memory is fickle for these spirits, in varying ways at varying times. i know that’s not a very clear explanation of why, but i think it’s one that fits. these spirits are no longer part of the “real” world. they’re trapped in their minds/memories as much as they are in the house; their physical grounded ties are severed, besides the ones they have to the house in particular.

I cant wait for your reactions of Season 2.. i was introduced to AHS while Asylum's teaser trailers were on TV.. i was on suicide watch in the hospital awaiting to be taken into inpatient care, and i love horror, so seeing those teasers i was like, "Im definitely checking out that show when i get out".. Asylum is, by far, my top favorite season of AHS so far

I remember watching this when it came out. It was really good! I lost interest I think halfway through season four and didn’t watch any of season five or anything after that. I’m kinda shocked this show is still around. Asylum is probably the best season of the ones I’ve seen as far as moving plots goes, can’t wait to see that one!
