That moment felt very meta. As if the episode writer knew to channel the viewers’ reaction. 😅

Someone told Hader, “you gotta end an episode on a big ‘what!?’ for the audience”,….and he took it literally. Another show that does that is Weeds. End of each episode of season one is an increasing “what !?”.

Dexter was one of the shows at my post production house but I never watched properly because they were dailies. Also, one day I came home and found a letter on my door from the Dexter producers wanting to use my house as a location but I didn’t do it.

You sound like you have an interesting life! aha Dexter was a great show for the first few seasons. Kinda dropped towards the end and then drove off a cliff. Only to be resurrected a couple of years later just to do it all over again and give us 2 bad endings instead of 1 haha

@@RyanCarrington I’ve had a hell of a life. It’s come to a screeching halt due to medical reasons, but I acknowledge my experiences were extraordinary at the time and have brought me a wealth of knowledge (and some actual wealth…which also came to a screeching halt). I’ve had simultaneous careers in music and in movies and tv. I’ve done over 2000 shows with all sorts from Alice In Chains to Madonna to Rolling Stones to U2 to Chinese pop star Jackie Cheung to Neil Diamond. I’ve flown the world’s largest plane for a moment and one of the world’s smallest planes. I’ve made money and paid taxes in 16 countries. I got an offer for professional basketball in australia at 17. I also got in to med school. Instead I went to London and bartended. In two weeks I was the manager. I was heavily involved in MMA in Los Angeles in the 90’s, before it was called MMA. I’ve ghostwritten plays, books, TV, commercials and movies and even sold jokes to comedians at the pub for $100 a joke. I also dj’ed at the pub. I’ve had all the women I’ve ever wanted and a few extra. A lot of weird celebrity moments are due to living in Los Angeles, like Ozzy Osbourne being my first customer the first day I worked at Tower Video on Sunset. One night in post production Ridley Scott walked in and handed me a tape and asked, “I’m supposed to give this to you ? We’re working together ? I’m Ridley.” And I looked in my hands and the label said “ALIEN MASTER 1979” in pencil. I felt like I stared at it for minutes. And then I said, “I’m sorry, Mr.Scott, please put your cigar because that machine you’ve standing next to costs $2.5M.” So I got to work on the digital remaster of that. I ran into the drummer from rage against the machine at a 24hr chemist around midnight on Christmas Eve. To the day, a year later I ran into the guitarist from Tool at the same place. Speaking of christmas eve, I ran into michael jackson at sharper image in bev hills on Christmas eve 1997 maybe (I haven’t remembered that memory in ages, it just came back when I mentioned christmas eve). He was with one bodyguard guy and he pulled out a credit card and carried his own bags. Speaking of credit cards, I’ve seen neil diamond scraping ice off the windshield with his own credit card, which took place on the night we went to a comedy show in aspen, where I went into shock from having a severe leg injury during a snowmobile accident that afternoon. (Big tree). Had to fly back to LA next morning. Had a broken leg and foot. The comedy show was more than expected. I wanted to see one person (janeane garafalo) and it turns out there was a massive amount of comics and actors in her show and audience and because I was with neil diamond, they all approached us. South Park boys. Bob Odenkirk and David Cross. Bill Maher gave us his seats next to jon lovitz and tom arnold. It was so weird. My best friend in america died sept 11 while flying home from working a backstreet boys concert the night before, to be there for his wife’s planned cesarean and then fly back to the backstreet tour. Woman had to take some bad news and then give birth. Lightning Crashes. Ebbs n flow. Life is ebb n flow. Go with what you know. Follow your nose. Take opportunities out of the blue and know that there is no Failure, just LEARNING. In MMA we said, “pain is weakness leaving the body. Embrace it”. Try whatever you like and try to be really good at it and learn as much as possible. Contribute to it. Make it better. Bring art and science into what you do and aim to elevate it, and you’ll be happy. *just remembered, speaking of christmas eve, one new years eve (first one I hadn’t worked in10 yrs) I got invited to a special dinner at wolfgang puck’s famous restaurant and the director Billy Wilder was at the table next to us. That was a “wow” moment for me. Dude directed Marilyn Monroe.

Im looking forward to the next couple episodes for you. A friend of mine was over when I came across your new Barry and made him watch it with me. He doesnt watch reactions. He busted out laughing at your ultra surprised face. Perhaps you gained a new viewer.
